I use my Coucou perfume both in summer and winter. Since 2014, it says 2016 here but I tested it in 2014. It’s a delicious, subtle, musky, soft and refined perfume. I recommend it and the longevity is optimal. J’adore.

  • @La plus belle: If you look closely, this is a ‘limited series’ or limited edition from 2016, which is why it bears that date (if the one you tested in 2014 came in this same bottle, please correct me). Although the original fragrance was edited in 2014, there’s also a limited edition from 2015 that I love and whose bottle is much more beautiful to my taste than this one. It’s worth clarifying that Guerlain isn’t the first to make special editions of their fragrances, with great value for collectors; being one of the most imitated, their iconic Shalimar is no exception. This can cause some confusion. Best wishes.

  • I tried this year-end edition of ‘Shalimar Souffle de Parfum’ yesterday and I must confess that, although I’m loyal to ‘Guerlain’, it disappointed me a little this time: on my skin I didn’t notice the magic of the original, but rather a commercial, overly sweet scent very similar to millions of others in shops that are the best-sellers in cosmetics… Nothing new or exotic! The longevity is good and the sillage is nice, but the quality-price ratio leaves much to be desired, as it can be replaced by something cheaper. I’d only recommend it if you’re a fan of ‘La Vie Est Belle’ or similar fragrances.

@Azurilla, you’re right, they are limited editions. Thanks for clarifying; I was confused about the date and bottle because the ingredients are the same, only the packaging varies. The bottles are gorgeous; I loved the 2014 edition I found in a clearance sale at Cofadisa, complete with box and presentation case, a real treat. This year it returned with a case but a smaller box, which I didn’t like as much. By the way, I took advantage of the summer without too much heat to wear Shalimar Souffle and felt like a princess; I didn’t go unnoticed and it lasted over 12 hours exquisitely. Best wishes.

  • Shalimar Souffle de Parfum. I bought it blind and it didn’t let me down. It opens with soft, elegant citrus and floral notes; as it dries down, it becomes pure vanilla, sweet but not cloying. It comforts me and wraps me in a cloud of cheerful, feminine tenderness. If there’s anything it evokes, it’s that very tenderness. It invites closeness without being sexually aggressive or explicit. The longevity is notable compared to so many watery perfumes nowadays, and its sillage is easily noticeable.
