It smells like a delicious, juicy watermelon… but nothing more. It’s quite a linear perfume. Personally, I’ve loved it, but coming from Escada I expected more. For those in Spain who like it but don’t want or can’t afford its price (though it’s not especially expensive, nor is it cheap for what it is), I highly recommend the Melon Monogotas from Mercadona. It smells incredibly similar, almost identical, and its longevity and sillage are very good, nothing to envy from Escada… and the price difference is huge. In conclusion, it’s a good perfume, I liked it, but given there are alternatives much on par for far less cost, for me this Escada perfume is a no.
Oh no. No, no, no. I usually pay attention to Escada limited editions; sometimes there are interesting things. But this is a chemical bomb, totally synthetic and artificial. The first impression turns me off; upon spraying it’s a watermelon bubblegum, a suffocating watermelon, then something like shampoo, and finally an aquatic air freshener. I’ve given it more than one chance, but I’m afraid it won’t work. Perhaps for a girl or teenager, but please, Escada… how can you do this to us?
I like it. It’s super summery, super tropical, and it lasts quite a while on skin and clothes. Its aroma is pure squeezed watermelon with a touch of gumdrop.
This Escada edition hasn’t been worked on much. I have many summer scents from the brand and this one is simple. I don’t perceive any notes, just watery watermelon like the bubblegum I used to eat as a child, but no flowers, no salt, or other fruits. I like the scent, but for a brand eau de toilette and a pricey one, I wasn’t expecting this. To be clear, I’ve used Ocean Lounge, Taj Sunset, and Isla Carioca, and although they are simple, they have much more complex formulas than Sorbetto Rosso. Thanks to sweetmarycandy for the comparison with Melon Monogotas, I’ll be trying it out.
I see many people don’t like it, but I absolutely loved it. I wanted a perfume for this summer that would make me feel clean, fresh, sweet, and energising, and it has achieved that. Living where it’s over 35 degrees, the last thing you want is a sweet gourmand (like my neighbours who abuse Vie Est Belle, Fantasy, Meow, Ariana Grande…); I wanted to give my nose a break from Be Delicious and find something to make me feel clean. I found it. Yes, the watermelon is a bit artificial, like a body mist, but it has good longevity and those aquatic notes with musk smell great on my skin. Then, as it settles, the pear and apple add that extra plus of delicious fruit. It didn’t tire me out; my husband is delighted and keeps me close, saying I smell like Jolly Rancher. Anyway, if you’re looking to smell like a fresh treat or dripping watermelon juice, this is the one. The only downside is the price, a bit expensive for what it offers, but I hope to find a cheaper alternative one day.
I smiled when I first tried it. It smells exactly like sugary watermelon treats. It’s a lovely scent, but it’s not what I’m looking for in a perfume; it’s more the aroma of a carefree, cheerful teenager. If you’re looking for a watermelon scent, you’ll surely enjoy this one.
I liked it. I went to try it with two work colleagues and showed them two other perfumes; this one was the winner. They found it delicious, it made their mouths water… what? To me it’s tasty, but it’s linear, pure watermelon. It smells like those old watermelon and chilli sweets or Jolly Rancher watermelon, delicious.
The bottle is simple and repetitive; the design is quirky, yet I still can’t tell the difference between the perfume and the lotion. As for the smell, it’s very synthetic watermelon, sharp, slightly green, lacking sweetness, and totally linear. Ironically, I prefer the BT bubblegum scent over this fragrance, and they’re much cheaper.
I bought it during a shopping binge looking for something summery and fruity. I tried it in-store and couldn’t believe it when I got home: it smells exactly like Island Fantasy by BS and costs double, so I returned it. There’s no point in owning two identical perfumes. The scent itself is lovely, like a cocktail of watermelon with lots of sugar, fruity and summery, but in the end, I’m sticking with the other one.
I absolutely love it. It’s super sweet, though the watermelon note reminds me slightly of bubblegum; it’s exquisite. I wear it every morning after my shower alongside Miami Blossom (2019); they smell similar, but Sorbetto Rosso is a concentrated watermelon scent, whereas Miami Blossom is watermelon with pineapple and less sweet. They blend beautifully. I’m so happy to have it and am currently hunting for the 100ml version so it lasts me longer.
I’ve loved it! Rich, rich, rich. It’s my style: fruity, tropical, fresh. The watermelon is very noticeable and I love it. Perfect for a summer edition, if I find it I’ll buy it with my eyes closed.
I like it very much! In tastes, nothing is written, it smells like watermelon, lots of it, like gummies or gum. It doesn’t last long but I love reapplying it because I love its aroma.
Smells like chewing gum, Jolly Rancher or a watermelon popsicle. The synthetic watermelon note stands out. For me it’s not a special scent, I consider it quite childish 🍉🍬🍭… If you like sweet perfumes you’ll like it, but don’t think of something cloying and edible; this is fresh. Longevity of 3 hours on my skin.
Watermelon scent lovers, this is your perfume. Fresh and sparkling for summer. Smells very good, super fruity. Pity the longevity isn’t much.

I like it, though it doesn’t overwhelm. Smells like Mexican ‘Vero Rebanaditas’ popsicles or Jolly Rancher. It’s a fresh, light and slightly acidic watermelon candy, just like those sweets. I don’t think it resembles L’Imperatrice 3; I have both and they are of a different style.
I was curious about this perfume; although described as simple, it has quite a few notes, something rare in watermelon fragrances. It’s not cheap here, so I hesitated to risk it. It starts like a girl’s scent and grows into a bronzed woman on the beach. It’s not great in performance, it’s a ‘cheap’ perfume, but as a watermelon lover I had to try it. It’s simple, but never just that. At first it smells like Jolly Rancher, sweet and strawberry, very basic, but once it dries it changes: the trail is something else. I imagined it as watermelon juice with carrot, it even made me hungry, including the green parts, apple and flowers. Finally a subtle coconut appears, very rich. I loved it, it’s lovely for summer, I see myself at sunset with it. Salt appears halfway through, casual and carefree, and in that final phase it became very sexy. When it unravels it smells like Juicy Couture’s Pink Couture. It’s the evolution of Adidas Get Ready, more complex and gourmand. I liked it very much and added it to my watermelon collection (there are few here worth the while). It didn’t seem like L’Imperatrice to me at all. I sense all the notes except praline and calone. I recommend it to watermelon fans, but don’t buy it blindly if you don’t like the childish opening.
It’s pure watermelon gum, but once it dries it’s so delicious you’re plunged into the sea. At first I didn’t like it, but it evolves over time: it starts chewy and ends up being a fresh, clean scent.
Sweet, sweet, sweet. Definitely smells like watermelon Jolly Rancher; I don’t notice the mango others mention. Although it’s super sweet, it’s not cloying, has a fresh quality and is ideal for daily wear. It leaves a powerful, long-lasting trail, which I love, so no need to reapply. Totally recommended for those seeking fruity, fresh, youthful scents. Perfect for summer holidays or spring-summer.
This smells like Jolly Rancher but to the tenth power. At first it doesn’t cloy me, but after using it again I was influenced by the comments and now I find it cloying, I can’t stand it and I haven’t received the compliments I wanted.
I loved it.
Smells like a melon popsicle, just like that. You receive many compliments. Some don’t find it lasts long, but on me it is around 6 hours with good projection. It shines in the heat. I love it. It is simple but pretty and no other fruit smells like this.
It puts me in a good mood. Two sprays last all day, with huge longevity and trail. People always compliment it. It is watermelon, sweet and cheerful; I detect quite a bit of strawberry. Only those two notes are 100% noticeable. Be careful not to overdo it as it can be overwhelming. It is nothing extraordinary, so I wouldn’t buy it again, but I enjoy having it in the collection.
It is one of my favourite editions: cheerful, youthful, fun, irreverent, informal and 100% tropical and summery. It is fruity but without masking the flowers; the tiare flower stands out when dry and the salt note is lovely, taking away some sweetness so it isn’t cloying. The watermelon is super refreshing and gives it that cool, youthful vibe. It has personality, is original, with good trail and longevity; you are in a bubble of fresh flowers and fruits for over six hours. It is striking, people like it and you receive compliments. If you like notes, buy it blind, it does not disappoint.
To be honest, it doesn’t smell as much like watermelon as I would like, but it is fresh, pleasant and special for everyday when you don’t know what to wear.

I have mixed feelings. I only detect apple and strawberry; there is a watermelon caramel sweetness, but it doesn’t smell like fresh, juicy watermelon. It seems more like a green apple Jolly Rancher. I don’t sense the salt or the floral accord mentioned on Fragrantica. I will keep testing it and hope it surprises me. Recommended for summer, it is sweet, fresh and cheerful. It reminds me of its sister Sexy, although I think they only share the strawberry. I will keep testing.

Juicy and fresh joy, aquatic watermelon with the exact amount of sweetness to barely push the rest of the notes. It’s one of those scents that puts you in a good mood and doesn’t demand formality. The only downside is the longevity, how good it would be to have a pocket perfume ready, and at this price, it’s not a worry.
Pfff, please, what a delightful aroma, it’s pure juicy, chewy and sweet watermelon. Not cloying at all. If you pair it with the Bodycology (shampoo, scrub and cream) Watermelon Splash collection, you’ll be a walking watermelon 🍉.
I put it on and it’s an explosion of joy, super fresh. The watermelon is rich, reminding me of childhood scents like watermelon bubblegum. It doesn’t last long on my skin, but I love the scent.
Another Escada perfume that smells of synthetic fruits where watermelon dominates, but any body mist can replace it.
I must admit I undervalued it 😅. I bought three Escada perfumes due to social media hype and hated this one when I first opened it; I thought it smelled synthetic and awful. I left it forgotten on the shelf, but today, looking for something fresh after a shower, I tried it again and fell in love 😍. Something magical happened with time. It’s not elegant or formal, it’s fresh, sweet, sparkling and youthful, almost childish… but it smells absolutely divine, literally like a little watermelon treat, just as it should be without being cloying. It’s very comfortable; I see it on girls aged 3 to 18, for every day, lovely for school, but anyone who likes gourmand scents would wear it easily. For me, at 30, I’d wear it at home, for sleeping, at the beach, to the supermarket or the gym. Informal occasions. I would definitely buy it again.
