I bought a decant because upon seeing it, I knew I had to try it (I already owned ‘La fin du monde’ and had high expectations). I struggle to describe it: it’s very unisex leaning masculine, nothing like ‘Devotion’, more like a masculine version of ‘D’. Does it smell of bread? Perhaps you sense it, but it is heavily overshadowed by the rum, davana, amber, benzoin, and woods. I expected something more gourmand, but it wasn’t quite that; however, it smells good. If I had to compare it, it would be a ‘By a Fireplace’ from Replica, more masculine than unisex. It has good projection and lasts quite a while on the skin, as with all ELDO fragrances. P.S.: no chocolate.
It’s a lovely, slightly round character with a scent of freshly baked bread, almost the crisp crust. Lacking any overpowering personality, it is one of the gentlest and tenderest from the brand. Very second skin and hardly intrusive.
