It’s a fruit bomb, mainly strawberry and pineapple. At first, it doesn’t smell oriental; it lacks that sweet, dense touch. After a few hours, it settles down and the flowers emerge with a hint of vanilla, giving it the sweetness it was missing initially. It smells of joy, spring, and taking life at a leisurely pace.
It’s a fruit bomb, almost entirely strawberry and pineapple. It doesn’t smell oriental; it lacks that sweet, dense touch. Good afternoon, I’m from Uruguay, does anyone know where to buy one of these perfumes? Thanks.
The official website says it’s musk, amber, blackcurrant and citrus to make you feel like a sultan. Fragrantica lists different notes and they are quite distinct. According to the official site: top notes of artemisia, mandarin, lemon and orange; heart of blackcurrant, freesia and patchouli; base of musk, amber and tobacco. For me, I don’t detect rose, peach, lavender, jasmine, pineapple or cinnamon. Yes, there is a potent freesia that gives it a feminine touch, with a very subtle hint of tobacco at the end. The opening is disproportionate, very intense and fruity, smelling like a petrol station air freshener with a synthetic strawberry scent. In reality, it smells like strong freesia with blackcurrant and citrus. Then it becomes more floral, with the freesia as the axis, patchouli and musky amber, less sweet and warmer. The tobacco is only noticeable at the very end, very subtle. I’m not entirely convinced by this final part. Here in the south, freesia is common; my grandmothers made perfumed waters with it, so it smells feminine to me. The longevity is tremendous; I tried to take it off and it wouldn’t come off, surely it exceeds eight hours. Moderate sillage, but with the heat it was noticeable. It’s for the day and warm climates, with moderate application, don’t layer it or it gets tiring.
The official Al Haramain fragrance blends the authority of musk and amber with the freshness of citrus and the strength of blackcurrant and patchouli, evoking the power of a sultan. It’s strange to me that Fragrantica and the brand’s website list such different notes; they mention rose and peach, but I detect neither. What I do notice is a potent freesia giving it a feminine touch, a very subtle tobacco note at the end, and citrus that are initially disproportionate and intense, seeming like a synthetic petrol station air freshener. Over time, the floral axis with the freesia and patchouli makes the scent less sweet and more warm, though that final phase doesn’t quite convince me. Down here in the south, being so familiar with freesia, it leans towards feminine, but that’s just my opinion. The longevity is brutal, exceeding eight hours and resisting washing off; with the heat, the sillage is very noticeable. It’s ideal for daytime in warm climates, but it needs to be applied moderately to avoid being overwhelming.
I tried it in-store and it caught my attention, but it faded a bit once I got home. It smells sweet and lovely, lasts quite a while, though the projection is more moderate, leaning towards weak. It reminds me a bit of Al Rehab’s Dalal. For the price, it’s worth it. Scent: 8, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 5, Value: 8, Versatility: 8, Overall: 6.5
I loved it in the shop. At home, after the first wear, it dropped a bit. It smells sweet and rich, lasts quite a while, but the projection is more moderate, almost sillage. It reminds me a bit of Al Rehab’s Dalal. For the price, it’s worth it. Scent: 8, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 5, Value for money: 8, Versatility: 8, Overall rating: 6.5.
Completely off notes. The oil smells like LAUNDRY SOFTENER. Yes, there are different accords, but it’s basically a very potent softener. Period.
