I don’t know it; I hope I get the chance to buy it one day. I saw it in the film ‘Three Metres Above the Sky’ and it caught my attention. I hope I can smell it or own it someday.
It smells good and is fresh, with no strange odours; it’s a bit plain and many teenagers wear it. But in terms of value for money, it’s decent and affordable. I like its clean scent with a mix of talc and cough syrup.
Sweet and Sexy is a sweet, fresh, and utterly unoriginal scent; another one that doesn’t speak to me and has an undeserved reputation thanks to the film. However, there is another called ‘Chic and Sexy’, which isn’t on Fragrantica, so I’m taking the opportunity to review it here because it’s exquisite. I owned it years ago and recently craved buying it again; I don’t think I’ll ever run out of it. It has a scent that is both baby-clean and youthful sexy (my mother loves it). I know it’s a rare combination, but it’s what inspires me: a very comforting and cuddly aroma. It’s an Eau de Toilette, so it doesn’t last as long as a perfume, but since I bathe in it, I can still smell it five hours after class. In terms of price, it’s around 12-13€.
A very simple, fresh floral fragrance that personally doesn’t speak to me. I owned it and honestly, I don’t know what happened to it. The only thing they got right was the advertising for ‘Three Metres Above the Sky’, which led thousands of teenagers to buy it to feel like the real Babi.
I’m not sure if this was the version or Chic and Sexy, but my cousin and I were gifted it when we were little girls. That’s when I discovered how different a scent can be depending on pH. It suited my cousin perfectly, but on me, after a few hours, it smelled intensely of red wine, as if someone had poured a bottle over me. My mother thought I had an alcoholic teenager in the house.
It’s always been in my top favourites; what a shame they delisted it years ago. I managed to grab a 50ml bottle just as it stopped selling, but the memory is indelible: it’s one of the best I’ve ever tried and was always my personal scent.
