About Te Tōnga
Te Tōnga: White Florals with Chestnut, Vanilla and Patchouli
Created by Pierre Flores and Romain Keller, Te Tōnga by O Te Rā arrived in 2026 as an oriental-floral for women and men.
The composition pairs an aromatic citrus opening with a floral heart and a smooth foundation of patchouli, vanilla, chestnut and cream.
Bitter orange, cypress and pink pepper open the scent. The orange lends brightness, cypress a green, resinous coolness, whilst pink pepper contributes a gentle warmth and lift.
At the centre lie white lily, tuberose and orchid. Tuberose brings opulence, lily a clearer floral line, and orchid a silky veil that binds the bouquet together.
The base combines patchouli, vanilla, chestnut and cream. Patchouli gives woody structure, vanilla and cream lend a cosy sweetness, and chestnut introduces a roasted, nut-like softness.
The overall character is white-floral and woody, with floral, aromatic, warm-spicy, sweet, nutty and citrus accords in dialogue. It moves gracefully from crisp to creamy without losing definition.
It should suit devotees of generous white florals, wearers who enjoy patchouli made supple by vanilla, and anyone after a unisex, comforting scent with a distinctive chestnut note.
Te Tōnga is a composed oriental-floral: a fresh opening, an expressive floral middle, and a mellow woody close centred on cream and chestnut.
