I understand those who say it’s an inspiration (not a clone) of the Y EDT/EDP. It does resemble it but more so Y Le Parfum (the black bottle). The Jewel of Ocean is more floral: geranium and above all violet are noticeable from the start almost like it has rose. The soapy touch apple and citrus notes are lower than in other clones. It’s a rich perfume that might clash initially due to being floral and unisex like an oriental version of Y. Should you buy blind? I thought so but I wouldn’t recommend it entirely especially if you’re in Argentina and paying triple as happened to me. The presentation box bottle and atomiser are luxurious. It has great power and longevity (and they haven’t oxidised yet; they say Anfar perfumes improve with time). It’s impossible not to like it but don’t expect it to be an Odyssey Mega or a Yeah Man as they are worlds apart.
They say it smells like YSL Y Parfum (I haven’t tried it); it’s a blue floral with mint apple and a soapy hint. Longevity and projection are brutal. I have the Yeah by MA which is much softer and sweeter lacking the sweetness I sensed in this one. It works for any occasion and everyone enjoys it. I’d recommend it for those over 25 as the scent makes me think of someone well-dressed. This house has me hooked; everything I own is a bomb in longevity projection and quality with nothing synthetic. This one lasted all day with heavy projection.
