It only brings me good memories as I used it all through my childhood, until almost 14. It’s a strong powdery floral scent, very 90s. I wouldn’t wear it these days, but I would buy a bottle to smell it from time to time and remember happy years.
It’s strange that an Avon classic has so few reviews. My grandmother used to wear it and I loved it so much that I asked my dad to get me one; I wore it for years, I think between 8 and 10. It’s not the best in the brand, but those perfumes bring childhood memories and that makes them beautiful. I bought the cologne yesterday because the original is no longer available and I love it. I’ll use it only to spray my bed and pyjamas at night, for those cool autumn and winter nights with many blankets. It’s not sweet, but fresh, floral, slightly alcoholic and woody. It’s not for work, it’s perfect for going to bed 💕
I bought the cologne yesterday thinking that by its name it would be sweeter, fresher, fruitier and more romantic, a ‘pink cologne’. In Argentina, close to summer, I was looking for post-shower freshness. I came across a classic, floral scent, not very sweet but which becomes sweeter and powdery as it dries. Honestly, it’s not my style (I prefer gourmand or sweet floral scents), but it’s not unpleasant. It feels classic, unpretentious, clean, floral (I don’t sense the fruity notes), a bit formal but as it’s a cologne it’s not strong. I also detect a woody note. It’s one of those that remind you of something you used to wear as a girl, like Little Women. Although it’s not entirely to my liking, I’ll give it more opportunities post-shower. I’ll use it to see how it evolves with the heat. Given its price (very economical here), it’s very convenient for women who like classic, floral, powdery, slightly formal and non-intrusive scents. I feel it’s moderate; if you don’t like it, at least it’s not overwhelming.
Another Avon classic that arrived right in the middle of the Christmas season. I got it in the Alhambra version with a different packaging that shares with the brand’s old colognes. I expected something sweeter, but the woody touch makes it more serious. Clearly aldehydic and classic at first; once it settles, it becomes floral, fresh and powdery, a bit alcoholic, reminiscent of some family moment or an aunt/grandmother/mum from the 70s/80s. Nothing bad, I like this type of scent. It’s woody, classic and fresh, ideal for after a shower in moderate seasons (not very suitable for summer as it’s potent, nor for winter because the freshness of its flowers is lost in the cold). The packaging serves as decoration. Excellent price.
Another Avon classic that I stumbled upon right in the middle of Christmas. I picked up the Alhambra version with that distinctive bottle shared by some of the brand’s older fragrances. I expected something sweeter, but the woody note gives it a more serious air than I anticipated. At first, it smells distinctly aldehydic and classic, but once it settles, it becomes a fresh, talcum-powder floral scent, slightly alcoholic, which brings back memories of family life or an aunt/grandmother/mother from the 70s and 80s. Nothing to do with the negative reviews; I simply adore these kinds of scents and didn’t expect less given the launch era and the trends of the time. It is woody, classic, and fresh, ideal for after a shower in the shoulder seasons (not for summer as it’s too potent, nor for winter as the cold makes the floral freshness disappear), and the bottle also serves as a decoration. Excellent price!
It’s feminine and sweet, ideal for classic women.
It’s a lovely scent but definitely sounds vintage; it’s what my mum used to wear all her life and hasn’t changed. I like it for everyday comfort, but the notes are too compacted, lacking that diffusion that makes a perfume sing its song; it comes across as flat with a slightly alcoholic dry-down, which is its vintage touch. I just bought Daisy Dream and recognise a similar vibe: it’s as if DD is a more modern, youthful, feminine and sophisticated version. I went with the latter, but if you prefer vintage, slightly sharper scents, Toque de Amor has the same comfort, tenderness and maturity for daily wear.
Toque de Amor is an Avon classic, soft yet more woody and sparkling than it appears. The downside is it doesn’t last long, but I still recommend it: it’s very feminine, floral and woody, and to me it smells like a great rose with vanilla and cream 😉🌺🥀
It smells to me of floral powder from years ago. At the start it is extremely aldehydic, but it fades to give way to the flowers, iris, and green notes. It is for classic women. I use it for sleeping or at home, it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. It resembles L’air du temps a little, but this is much more wearable.
To me, it smells like floral talcum powder from years gone by. At first, it is super aldehydic, but then it fades in intensity to make way for the floral notes, iris, and green accords. (That is how I perceive them, in that order). It is for classic women, period. I use it for sleeping or being at home, as it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. It does bear a slight resemblance to L’air du temps, but this one is much more wearable.
I fell in love with Toque de Amor again. In Argentina I only find it in Cologne (plastic bottle) and Alhambra. I managed to get the first one and it brought so many memories: it is calm, comforting, and brings peace. What surprised me most is that, with my difficult skin where national colognes do not last, this cologne did last, leaving a trail without a spray. It was wonderful to feel its scent all over my skin; it is powdery, not so aldehydic as I remembered, and now it has gratifying persistence. It is so economical that I recommend trying it to those looking for classic, powdery, and floral scents. I perceive nothing fruity, only a bouquet of white flowers and well-being. I agree with those who compare it to L’Air du Temps from the 80s. Hopefully Avon brings the perfume bottle as with Sweet Honesty; I see it similar to ‘Here’s My Heart’ from the 70s, perhaps it is a reformulation. As always, Avon does not disappoint and I prefer their perfumes to many imported or national ones that do not persist or are not good. Just my opinion, respecting those who do not like the brand.
I use it when I’m looking for an aromatic hug, like an angel wrapping me in happy and innocent days or sad ones where I need a sweet stimulus. I love it, I have it in all versions and use them together to reinforce it. The refreshing cologne alone lasts surprisingly long.

I love it, although I have it in all versions (deodorant, cologne, and Eau de Toilette) and use them together to reinforce it. The refreshing cologne alone, surprisingly, lasts quite a while.
What stands out most are the aldehydes and the citrus of bergamot and lemon at the start. Then it gains a herbal, powdery touch, maintaining the aldehydic quality. If you like Chanel No. 5, you will like this too for that very similar handling of aldehydes. At the end, it smells like Avon’s neutral creams, like Accolade.
What vintage! It smells like my childhood, my mother used it and still likes it. It is warm due to the wood, sweetly floral (not invasive like caramel or vanilla), 100% powdery, and what stands out most are the aldehydes that make you sigh. I do not know how it has such longevity; it is old, from Avon, and very economical. I use it for sleeping, the powdery scent lulls me and relaxes me, or perhaps it is just the feeling of a little girl near mum 🤍.
Exquisite, my favourite from Avon. Almost identical to Chanel No. 5. It is like feeling lemon soap, flowers, and green notes: clean and fresh, ideal for summer or spring, or for sleeping and refreshing the day. It brought me compliments today; it is a cologne suitable for children and adults, without gender or age issues. Simply, a perfume as its name indicates.
It is my childhood: the hug of mum and grandma. Warm, powdery, soapy, everything I loved as a child. Mum asked for it every time I browsed magazines and felt it was sophisticated. Today I smelled it and it brought a rush of memories, a scent different from what I wear now. Without a doubt, I will buy it as soon as I can.
Who can speak ill of this? It is pure memories of childhood and motherhood, of loving grandmothers like mine. I bought it just to feel her closeness, and it remains alive every time I smell it 🥹. The glass bottle she loved so much I find superior to Chanel No. 5: Toque de Amor is whiter and cleaner, whereas Chanel is more ostentatious and yellow. It is an artwork that is too cheap and undervalued. Thank you, grandmother, for letting me have a part of you in this scent 🙌🏻🦋
Toque de Amor… so omnipresent in middle-class homes. Launched in 1960, when the role of women was to be delicate, raising children and cooking according to the newspapers, right in the era of Tupperware parties and ‘Lady Avons’ selling catalogues to housewives. That feminine delicacy is embodied: very soft, comforting and bearable, without distracting you from your chores. Designed for middle-class housewives. Lovely bottle for the dressing table, floral scent where aldehydes bubble at the start but soften quickly to let floral notes dance with a powdery touch. Very well combined, none steals the spotlight. It doesn’t overwhelm, it’s delicate and tender. I see it for sleeping or as a body splash after a bath to walk around the house. I smell this and imagine a 1960s American woman in her kitchen preparing an apple pie with her children, humming ‘Little Bitty Pretty One’ by Frankie Lymon, coquettish and sweet. It’s not for a carefree or transgressive woman, it’s for someone with an ‘angel’. If it’s called ‘Toque de Amor’, what more could it inspire?
Toque de Amor… so prevalent in middle-class households. Launched in 1960, when women were expected to be delicate and silent, caring for children and cooking daily recipes… while ‘Lady Avon’ ladies sold their catalogues at social gatherings. Those ladies, with their red rouge and hair pinned up, are the soul of this scent. It captured that feminine delicacy: soft, comforting, and not distracting from household chores. Ideal for housewives, with a pretty bottle for the dressing table. At first, the aldehydes bubble up, but soon the flowers come out to dance with a powdery touch. Nothing steals the spotlight; it is tender, perfect for sleeping or as a body splash after a bath. I can imagine a woman from the 60s humming ‘Little Bitty Pretty One’ in the kitchen, coquettish and sweet. It is not for someone transgressive, but for those who have an ‘angel’.
Incredible fragrance, but I can’t find it in Peru anymore!:( I just tried the Oscar Eau de Toilette by Oscar de la Renta and they are remarkably similar. In fact, I thought Toque de Amor was a dupe of that one, only this costs twenty times more 🥲
