Toscano Leather by Maison Alhambra

Bought Toscano Leather a couple of months ago and it didn’t quite hit the spot; it smelled like a car workshop… it works well on my eco-leather items. Today, while Christmas shopping at the mall, I tried Tom Ford Man Leather and it’s identical, but costs a tenth of the price. I reckon niche and designer brands need to bring down their prices. Thanks, Arabs, for existing.

I tried it in-store and it hooked me instantly. I wouldn’t recommend buying blind. It has plenty of personality, is robust, and very masculine. I don’t consider it unisex as suggested; it’s preferably for evening wear, though it works for formal daytime settings like a suit. It smells like new leather, a jacket, or shoes straight out of the box; it settles a bit but the leather remains dominant, I’d say it’s its signature, with a sweet undertone that softens that severe first impression. Made for men over 30.

To be honest, to be honest… if it smells like Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, I must say it’s terrible, full stop. It smells like petrol at first. Eventually, a leather scent emerges, but that petrol smell never ceases. I’ll keep it in my collection but wouldn’t buy it again or wear it myself.

Toscano Leather is a great imitation of Tuscan Leather. Between Toscano and Opulence Leather, Toscano is the better one because it’s more complex and less flat. Basically, from start to finish it’s leather: refined by the raspberry that makes it elegant, and dark by the smoky woods and incense. It’s not for expecting compliments, but for projecting power. Wear it with a suit for elegance or a leather jacket for roughness and seriousness. Very good longevity, moderate projection that doesn’t overwhelm, making it gentlemanly. If it suits you, final rating 8.5/10.

A powerful opening of red fruits, raspberry, contrasting with deep notes. In the heart, a robust and dark profile with leather, the signature of the aroma, with nuances of jasmine that add subtle floral touches. A base of amber, oud, and smoky notes gives it depth and complexity. Outstanding longevity, 8 to 12 hours. Powerful projection at first, then settles into an aura close to the body. Guarantees you’ll be noticed but discreet as intensity drops. Apply 2 to 4 sprays, don’t overdo it to avoid overwhelming. Strategic points: neck and behind the ears. Versatile, but better for special occasions and evening events: elegant dinners, cocktails, dates, or important events. Ideal for impact, weddings, business, or exclusive parties. Although usable during the day, its richness makes it better for moments of sophistication. Best in fresh or mild climates; in heat it can overwhelm, ideal for spring, autumn, or winter. In cold weather, the warm notes unfold better, enveloping. It captures luxury and elegance, complexity that seduces. Excellent investment for a distinctive and memorable scent.

It repulses me. It smells nothing like leather or a new car; it simply stinks. If you wear it, people will think you haven’t showered or that you don’t take care of yourself. If you tried a decant and liked it, go ahead, but I would never wear it. Disqualified.

I’ve been tempted by this fragrance for some time. I tried it and at first it smells like the wasabi in takeout sushi, probably the thyme. Don’t misunderstand me; it doesn’t disgust me, but I don’t love it, at least not yet. My mother, an expert in perfumes since before I was born, adored it. Why? No idea, but tastes are tastes.

It really surprised me. It reminds me very much of a leather jacket I had when I was a child. It’s an elegant, very well-crafted aroma, without any alcohol sensation. It’s an intense leather but not strong or dizzying, and it lasts quite a while. It’s very masculine. I’m not usually a fan of leather perfumes, but I liked this one a lot.

Toscano Leather by Maison Alhambra is a very successful inspiration of Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather, with 90% similarity. It has excellently crafted animal leather, balanced with saffron and raspberry, making it very pleasant and wearable, even more so than Amber Leather and Ombre Leather. Its performance is acceptable in longevity and projection, and the quality-to-price ratio is unbeatable. It’s a solid recommendation for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on Tom Ford but want a similar experience for a fraction of the price. Worth it for any leather perfume lover.

Longevity 8/10, projection 7/10, similarity to TF TL 89%, beauty 9/10. It smells like a corrupt multimillionaire, that kind of person you know is loaded but you’d rather not ask what they do. Another way to see it is the scent of a grand cathedral, not just any one, where the Cardinal is present with red velvet shoes, a long robe, a sixty-gram gold ring, a white gold rosary that marks his neck due to its weight, and a smile that only convinces the oldest believer. That kind of man who, when he blesses the water, the altar boys move aside so it doesn’t fall on them. It smells like a Latin American politician who couldn’t afford food two years ago and now has yachts, private jets, and contest-winning secretaries. It’s a perfume jewel, 100% recommended if you want to make a huge impact. In the Harry Potter world, that’s how Peter Pettigrew smells, whereas Lucius Malfoy would use the Tom Ford Tuscan Leather.

Exquisite. It’s like smelling a pair of brand-new leather shoes. I love it.

Excellent aromatic quality, I love it. I see it as suitable for adults and formal wear. Longevity and projection are average, sometimes weak, unfortunately; otherwise, it would be a 10/10.

I must admit it smells identical to Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather. In my case, I have to use it subtly (one spray behind each ear); if I apply more than two, I start to feel dizzy within an hour (this never happened with the Tom Ford, surely due to ingredient quality). It’s a good investment; you get more than you pay for.

Smells spectacular, and let’s talk about the longevity. This is leather and raspberry, a fantastic perfume for just $15.

I liked it. YouTube reviews say ‘Shoe store with raspberry’. Yes, exactly that. Good presence, very long-lasting… If you love the smell of leather, highly recommended.
