I understand the vintage version was incredible. I got a current version ordering online from France because I love green scents. Such a shame… Zero longevity. A fresh cologne with nothing to offer. Barely any moss facets, more fresh grass..
Vent Vert, at least the eau de toilette they currently had in a perfumery today has in the opening and for ten minutes a scent totally reminiscent of FRESHLY CUT GRASS… very pleasant and well done, if you like this delicious smell, here it is, at a not unpleasant price but with a longevity not quite acceptable next to other green florals. The first ten minutes though, if you like this sensation you are guaranteed it here. It is a delicious fragrance, delicious in the floral sense because with the components it has it is absolutely light, country-like, lively. If you like field-evoking florals (light flowers, stems, dew) but not like Orangerie which is all oranges in all their splendour with great longevity, this one is not, it is lighter, I would even say youthful. Its longevity is limited, having to reapply constantly (it may be that on skin without a dry tendency and juicier it takes firmer and more intense facets) and each time you reapply you notice again more firmly that scent of freshly pulled stems (grass).

I think the vintage version was absolutely brilliant. I bought it in France for the love of green scents, but the current one is a letdown. No sillage at all; it’s just a fresh cologne that adds nothing. It barely smells of moss, more like wet grass.
Vent Vert, at least the EDT available now in perfumeries, smells of freshly cut grass straight out of the bottle and for the first ten minutes… very well done and pleasant. If you like it, you’ll find a fair price here, although the longevity isn’t acceptable compared to other green florals. Those first ten minutes guarantee that sensation: it’s delicious, light, pastoral and alive. It evokes delicate flowers, stems and dew. Unlike Orangerie, which is all orange and lasts a long time, this is more light, even youthful. Its longevity is limited and you need to reapply often (perhaps it lasts longer on oily skin), and each reapplication reinforces that scent of pulled stems.
