One of the finest citrus fragrances for extreme heat. It feels natural and elegant. The surprise is that it’s an eau de parfum, very similar to Eau de Rochas Homme in scent, but it outshines it in price, projection and longevity. Totally unisex.
I had to tell you: it’s a minimalist delight, with extreme naturalness. I grew up with citrus trees at home and it delivers on its promise without being synthetic; it’s the real essence of sweet lime and lemon, a summer lemonade. Over time, a subtle herbal touch without losing the fruit. It’s the patio of my house with limes, lemons and grapefruits. A beauty. If you want to smell citrus with elegance, you won’t regret it.
I bought it blindly for the price and the notes, believing I couldn’t go wrong. I love the verbena, despite Paquito Chocolatero. But I was wrong. Although they say it’s unisex, I don’t see it that way. More than feminine, it seems childish: it’s lemon caramel, very sweet, that sticks to the teeth without acidity. I’ll give it to my son; perhaps he’ll like it.
I like it; it’s lemon and lots of lemon, but a sweet lemon like caramel 🍋. It lasts and projects well, but it gives me the impression of a childish fragrance, perfect after a shower.
What a delight! It smells like an acidic lemon sorbet, ideal when it’s very hot. It’s my salvation because few fragrances have such freshness. It’s not like rubbing a lemon on your body, but rather smells of that pure note only. The best thing is that after a shower it refreshes you and the scent lasts a long time: about 5-6 hours, with a trail up to 3. It’s my number one for summer.
You rarely come across a true treasure. In this crazy world of perfumes, without maps to guide us, you sometimes feel alone in the middle of the sea. Let me be your compass and lead you to that hidden gem among freshly born citrus notes: imagine the sun on green leaves, the glimmers on polished lime, lemon and mandarin peels. Then, lose yourself in that clean breeze that refreshes the spirit, as if it were liquefied summer, biting into a mandarin or granita with ice. Smelling it, seeing the price, and discovering that inside the coal lay a diamond.

What a delight! It smells like a sour lemon sorbet, ideal for the heat. It’s my salvation thanks to its extreme freshness. It doesn’t smell like rubbed lemon, but rather that pure note. After a shower, it refreshes and lasts a long time: 5-6 hours, with a trail up to 3. My number one summer pick.
To begin with, it’s worth noting that, although it’s a women’s perfume, it looks nothing out of place on a man, even suiting the masculine gender very well. Initially, you sense vibrant, very natural citrus notes, like freshly squeezed lemon with the peel, but after a few minutes it starts to feel like sea salt accompanied by citrus, a beach scent, but not of sunscreen or tan lotion, rather of the beach, a sunny day with cocktails. I agree with another review warning of its resemblance to Rochas Homme, and indeed, my first impression was exactly that. In short, recommended for daytime and tropical climates.
To start, being a women’s fragrance, it doesn’t go badly on a man, even fitting well with the male gender. At first, there are vibrant, natural citrus notes, like freshly squeezed lemon, but then sea salt accompanies the citrus: a smell of the beach, a sunny day with cocktails, not sunscreen. I agree with those who said it reminds them of Rochas Homme. Recommended for daytime and tropical climates.
As Ulito says, an absolute TREASURE. If you like citrus, don’t hesitate: it’s better than most in terms of longevity and price. Is there a trick? Where is the catch? It doesn’t matter, give it a try. It’s indispensable for those stifling summer days.
As Ulito says, an absolute TREASURE. If you like citrus, don’t hesitate; it’s better than most in both longevity and price. Is there a trick? Where’s the catch? … Never mind, give it a try. It’s indispensable for those stifling summer days.
I admit I bought this perfume first for the bottle, which is exactly my style, and then for the notes: an exquisite citrus scent that makes you feel like you’re in some corner of Italy or Santorini, sipping lemonade with the wind and sun on your face while gazing at the beach. It doesn’t last very long, but the price is quite accessible; these fragrances are truly ideal for infernal heatwaves!
A wonderful fresh feminine lemon perfume with herbal, floral, and fruity nuances, comparable to Light Blue, Le Jardin sur la Méditerranée, and Le Jardin sur le Nil. I also agree with the reviews regarding Aqua Allegoria and Eau de Rochas. It’s a delightful, long-lasting fragrance of high quality. I detect no unisex or masculine notes that would prevent me from identifying with it. Recently, I read that a lemon scent aids concentration, so it will accompany me for quite some time. It has enough intensity to be noticeable in any season. If you want a citrus fragrance, you know why, and there are no conditions attached. This citrus note lasts and fits the feminine temperament perfectly.
Lately, I’ve only been drawn to citrus and musky scents, so I no longer feel tempted by showy fragrances like A Men by Mugler or Opium by YSL, which used to leave me cold. This has led me to seek out new citrus notes that aren’t overly saturated. I stumbled upon this scent by chance, as often happens with the best discoveries, and seeing so many glowing reviews praising its realistic citrus character, I bought it blind at a ridiculous price. They were right; I absolutely loved it. Verveine Cedrat by Jeanne en Provence is a citrus explosion from the very first moment. It packs every sparkling citrus note you could imagine. This intensely realistic opening can be a bit sharp at first, but once it dries down, it’s a genuine treat to enjoy that luminous blend of slightly sweet, musky citrus. I adore that fresh sensation, and it’s a pleasure to wear, especially in the heat. I wore it last summer and finished it without realising; this year, I hope to repurchase. To all lovers of ultra-citrusy fragrances, get your hands on it—you won’t regret it!
Lately, I’ve found myself drawn only to citrus and musky fragrances, so now I hesitate to wear bold scents like Mugler’s A Men or Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium, which I used to wear without a second thought in my younger years. This has led me to seek out less mainstream citrus fragrances. I stumbled upon this one by chance, as often happens with such discoveries, and guided by reviews praising its realistic citrus notes, I bought it blind for an utterly ridiculous price. I must admit they were right; I’m absolutely obsessed. Verveine Cedrat by Jeanne en Provence is an authentic citrus explosion right from the start. One of my favourites. I couldn’t be without it.
As there are already good reviews, I’ll just add that it doesn’t seem feminine to me at all. On the contrary, I perceive it as masculine.
A wonderful unisex citrus fragrance, fresh yet velvety, which I’ve enjoyed for two seasons and am very satisfied with. Recently I tried a vial of Mancera’s Lemon Line and was surprised by the striking similarity, despite the different notes; after comparing them over several days, I see they are very alike in the opening. Lemon Line is less sharp, more balanced, and feels like a better quality of ingredients, but once it settles on the skin, both share a musk base that lasts around 5–6 hours on Verveine Cedrat and over 8 on L. Line. The trail and projection are similar. For now, I won’t buy the bottle of Lemon Line, as V. Cedrat fulfils my purpose for less money and the value for money is acceptable. Of course, Mancera has ingredients befitting its price and is a better perfume, but for me, V. Cedrat is more than enough. A.C.R.
I rarely dare to say this with certainty, but I’m glad I bought it blind. When I saw the notes, I knew I had little to lose, as I adore citrus. Besides being fresh, on my skin it has a sweet touch that has won me over and makes me want to buy it more than typical summer colognes like Aire de Sevilla, Chanson d’Eau, or CK One. The scent is almost identical to a hard lemon candy on my skin. I love it and would buy it again 100%. It’s my first review on Fragrantica, so I’ve chosen something simple and within my comfort zone to take the pressure off and feel that my perceptions deserve to be read.
It delivers on its promise and is a brilliant refreshing option at a ridiculous price. Verveine Cedrat kicks off super citrusy, sparkling, with a sweet touch reminiscent of lemon candy, yet without being synthetic or unpleasant; it smells fresh and pleasant. It then evolves into a comforting verbena that, along with the remaining citrus notes and a clean musk, gives it a dry-down quality you wouldn’t expect for the cost. It’s totally unisex, perfect for casual days, sport, or after a shower, especially in the heat. Longevity is fair for the price (around 4-5 hours) with moderate projection. Is it worth it? Absolutely; it offers more than its cost and leaves other cheap options in the dust thanks to its perceived dry-down quality and good performance. The presentation is good and the atomiser looks mid-range. Around 8-9 euros for 60ml, a lemon candy :p Salu2
