Vetiver by Daniel Josier

Terre d’Hermès, but with a greener twist and perhaps, just perhaps, an extra bit of longevity. Period.

It reminds me very much of Terre d’Hermès; personally, I would choose this over the one already mentioned, although I perceive the vetiver to be ideal for more mature individuals. Excellent quality, longevity, and projection.

A very good fragrance and yes, it is a niche Terre d’Hermès. The scent revolves around vetiver, but a fresh one. The opening is citrusy before moving to creamier accords with a touch of sweetness. Sincerely, I prefer it to the original, even paying that extra price. It projects well and lasts more than seven hours. While it doesn’t surprise too much, it seems a more than correct option for intermediate temperatures and very versatile.

I’m sorry, but I’ll say the same as others: Terre d’Hermès, is it you? No, it’s not the same. In essence, it’s very similar, but in my opinion, it’s more beautiful. The herbal notes remind me of a walk through the countryside, running hands over aromatic grass that releases an explosive cloud of scent, and the fruity citrus notes feel softer and sweeter, making it more general and appealing to younger people than Hermès, as well as more pleasant for women, since the original smells very strong to them. Daniel’s performance is better: more protection time and longevity. With Hermès, I need to bathe in it and reapply every four or five hours, whereas here, a decent eight-hour duration seems appropriate. Very versatile but elegant; it can be worn all year round without issues.

Arrived in the collection and what can I say… I am DELIGHTED. It is true that it follows the same line as Terre d’Hermès (which I adore), but it undeniably surpasses it in overall quality, although scent is subjective. Imagine a fresh, sparkling opening like A Midsummer Dream, an elegant and sober heart like Oligarch, and a mature base in the style of Terre d’Hermès. All wrapped in a green frame with the signature of Daniel Josier: polished and accessible, which will please almost everyone. It is an attractive, mature, elegant fragrance with a spicy and sensual twist that even my wife, who is tired of smelling my perfumes, commented on. She said: ‘Go order another bottle’. Mentally, I see it as an individual with a path made, clear ideas, elegant and in his place, but with a relaxed and sparkling tone because life gives many headaches; that confidence gives him the extra attraction. He knows what to do without shortcuts. It is a rounded composition with a successful DNA, they have added attractive touches, it is made without rough edges, very well finished, and it pleases almost any nose. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This defines the QUALITY of Daniel Josier. The vetiver is not a projection monster, but it smells impeccable and refined, very pleasant and non-intrusive. It lasts more than 12 hours on my skin, simply wow, although I still consider Ambre Tabac to be the house star.

It smells almost identical to Terre d’Hermès, perhaps without that mineral touch. The vetiver dominates from start to finish, dry and slightly spicy. Mixed with the citrus notes (bergamot and grapefruit), it creates an effect similar to Hermès, although they use orange instead of bergamot. The scent is very linear, almost identical at the beginning and the end. It is very woody, dry, and mature, but of good quality. It has good performance; perhaps it beats the current Hermès; it lasts quite a while and is noticeable for much of the time. I would use it in any weather and see it as more masculine. The perfume is good and its notes feel natural and achieved. The only ‘but’ is its lack of originality and a somewhat high price for what it offers now. It’s not my style, but vetiver lovers will appreciate it.
