Tuberose by Daniel Josier

Floral, sweet and creamy… I love how it dries down; it would look spectacular on a woman.

I hesitated again, just like with other Josier scents, wondering if it was worth it, but yes, it is. I bought Tuberose for the neroli. What I feared was that it would sound like others in my collection, but it is unique: a natural and realistic neroli with a warm spicy touch. I love the nutmeg, which is rarely found like this. The floral heart shines with ylang-ylang and a subtle carnation. Although it is potent, it smells clean, not animalic. It is sensual and I enjoy it immensely. Perhaps it is more feminine, but the spices make it unisex. Moderate projection and over 12 hours on skin. It reminds me a little of Organza, but has nothing to do with Watch by Micallef. If you like florals, it is a great success. Scent 8/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7.5/10, Value for money 8.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. I would buy it again.

Subtle, bright and modern neroli perfume. The neroli is the protagonist, but it is not overpowering or intoxicating. From the start, it is marked by the grapefruit, along with spices like nutmeg, which nuance the fragrance. It is a delicate, pleasant and easy-to-wear citrusy white floral and spicy scent. I find it more feminine than unisex. I like it very much for its delicacy, luminosity and understated elegance. It has good longevity and leaves a trail. For me, it is the best ‘feminine’ perfume by Daniel Josier.

TUBEROSE, a great discovery by Daniel Josier. A little goes a long way; it lasts all day. I use it for special occasions or cold days, and also by night in summer. I do not go unnoticed; I receive many compliments. It has great longevity and sillage. The bottle is a luxury and the perfume is a majestic work of art: intense, elegant, exclusive and all-rounder. It is a great niche perfume, unique and without comparison. I do not consider it expensive because it is worth every penny. I will not be without it; very good.

I love Josier; this is a beautiful and modern interpretation of a unisex floral. Launching a perfume based on tuberose is difficult: you have to accompany it without hiding it or making it clash. Daniel Josier is a master at this. It combines sensitivity and formal beauty. It can be worn on any occasion or season. It opens with slightly spiced flowers and blends sweetly without losing its floral origin. Good performance and a worthy projection that denotes quality. Highly recommended.

Tuberose is a soft neroli, charmingly well-mannered, of great class, hard not to like, even for those who shy away from neroli, and I am one of them. If you are looking for a neroli perfume that is intoxicating to the point of attacking your nose, then Tuberose is not the one. I insist that Tuberose is kindness, delicacy, subtlety, but above all possesses a commanding presence; it is a perfume that puts you in balance, stabilises your mood, clears your thoughts and frees your soul from harmful feelings. Tuberose embodies purity and gifts you purity; that is the vibe of such a lovely perfume. Wearing Tuberose is like walking on a beautiful sunny day through a lovely garden full of flowers, where the most striking flower in such a sublime landscape is the neroli, but it is a discreet neroli that politely allows you to appreciate the beauty of the other flowers accompanying it. There you find the ylang-ylang, a step further appears the lovely heliotrope, the osmanthus, the jasmines, and even hidden among so many flowers, I can see the gardenia in the distance. Tuberose unfolds its beauty with very fruity notes, wild berries, grapefruit and a little pink pepper that adds mischief to the fragrance. After a couple of minutes, the notes of nutmeg, exotic, sweet and even sensual ylang-ylang, the unmistakable jasmine and, of course, the king of perfumes, the neroli, appear very politely. That intoxicating and enveloping scent of neroli makes me fly, leaving me in a ‘zen’ state. In the end, vanilla, musk and some oak moss join this melody of peace. As in all of Daniel Josier’s creations, the chords of his perfumes always remain there; you can enjoy them separately and together, forming that great melody. I like Tuberose, and I repeat that I hate neroli, yet the whole set of chords is so beautiful that it is impossible not to like such a selection of flowers, fruits and spices. I do not want to deprive myself of the sensations this perfume gifts me, which could well be the perfume of an angel.
