Descripción
Walimah II by Areej Le Doré is an oriental floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2023, this composition is signed by perfumer Adam from Russia. Its top notes unfold an exotic and luminous opening with champaca, magnolia, and Indian oud. The heart reveals a warm, woody depth thanks to oud wood, saffron, cacao, tobacco, and cinnamon. The base settles on vetiver, labdanum, Peruvian balsam, and natural musk, closing the olfactory experience with elegance and persistence.

Chameleon floral: on the mark, already! Pe, but it’s gone. The most limited and expensive in the collection, sold out in seconds, which creates mixed feelings about the brand’s sales strategy. Walimah returns after five years with a complete overhaul, richer in oud and more akin to an attar. Is this hype or a perfume worth discovering? Walimah 2 opens with champaca-magnolia dominating a marked oud base, supported by vetiver, saffron and tobacco. It smells vivid, natural and cheerful. Delicate at first, with a smooth and refined evolution. Russian Adam created it for his wedding: the best of two worlds, his wife’s taste and his love for oud. Good performance, unisex, daytime and versatile. But this review is incomplete; W2 makes me feel there is more to discover and that it will improve positively with time, so I will age my bottle for several months before using it. Was it what was expected? Call me “Dr. Si”, because I am delighted to have one of the finest florals I know. I am not writing this so people search for it, as it is no longer available, this version will not be recreated and talking about a part 3 could be years away. Hunting for it on the resale market will be an expensive indulgence, where the only winner is the seller. A great offering that breaks the rose-oud trend. Quality in a league of its own.
