Inspired by Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, though slightly more masculine. It has less sweet vanilla and a more perceptible tobacco. The opening is intense, and although not declared, spices accompany the ginger. Then the ginger softens and gives way to a smooth, full-bodied pipe tobacco. The vanilla is always present, accompanied by tonka bean, enveloping and rounding off the mixture without being cloying, bordering on gourmand. A low-cost perfume with big aspirations, ideal for autumn when the cold asks for deep and sweet scents. Projection isn’t very high (no more than an arm’s length), though the trail is more noticeable. Longevity is easily around six hours, with another two hours on skin. Ideal for dates and night outings, though it wouldn’t clash in daily use either, provided it’s not in enclosed offices.
Walking through a shopping centre, an employee told me it was one of the newest and gave me a sample. My first impression was opening my eyes wide and wanting to smell it again instantly. I didn’t know what it smelled like at first, but it seemed unique, warm, sweet, robust, and present. I bought it on the spot (350 Mexican pesos). Using it for several days, it was a good purchase; there’s no dissatisfaction regarding the value for money. A critique for those complaining: what did they expect for 11 euros? What are they doing buying cheap trinkets when they could spend 200 dollars on things worth it? Obviously, I’ve never smelled the original Tobacco Vanille, only Spicebomb by chance, but it has its own character and very singular presence. My girlfriend loved it when she smelled it and asked how much I spent; to her surprise (and mine), she considers it smells much more expensive. Safe bet. Due to its low cost and ease of access, we might smell it a lot in the coming cold months, but I don’t mind. Well done, Zara. You’ve scored another 9/10 in my opinion.
Excellent fragrance! It starts smoky, like a rich barbecue… this phase lasts 25-30 minutes and I love it, although opinions are divided. Then it settles, the smokiness disappears, and it smells like dried perfumes such as Bvlgari Man in Black, with vanilla and a balsamic, warm aroma. The best part? Longevity and projection: with 5 sprays, it projects well for 1-2 hours and then keeps throwing bursts until the 8-hour mark. Unbeatable value for money. The only downside is that it’s not for daily use; it’s exquisite but gets boring easily, so I recommend using it occasionally, and the colder it is, the better.
A delight, ideal for autumn and winter; I use it daily at the office. The downside is that I feel it doesn’t last long on my skin, but it’s worth it for the price. I got it for 209 Mexican pesos (approx. 10 dollars) on sale.
I love it! I bought it for my partner blind because they said it was similar to Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. What a hit, it’s a real gem! I adore it. It smells sweet with that distinct touch of tobacco very present. It’s delicious, lingers in the room, and has an acceptable longevity on skin for its price. If you like sweet scents, don’t hesitate. It doesn’t smell synthetic or artificial; I encourage you to try it.
I bought it blind and it was a total disappointment… I didn’t like it at all; there’s nothing to grasp about it. It smells old; I wouldn’t recommend it whatsoever.
I bought it today at Zara and I don’t like it at all. It has an ingredient that gives me nausea and isn’t comfortable or pleasant. It smells very similar to Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, but with synthetic and sharp notes. Mixing vanilla, tobacco, saffron, and ginger is an explosion I can’t stand. The scent is sharp and strong, lasts a long time, and sticks to skin and clothes, almost in beast mode.
What a delight! That is all I have to say. I must add that within Zara’s collection it ranks second only to Rich Warm Addictive, but it is very good. It projects little but lasts more than nine hours; it is for winter and cold autumn days. It is no longer on Zara’s website.
Apart from the official notes, the box says it contains coriander, ginger, Balkan tobacco, saffron, vanilla, tonka, and woods. They claim it’s Zara’s new hit and that it doesn’t smell synthetic, but to me, it does, and given the price, that’s normal. I didn’t like it. The opening is rich and spicy but lasts a minute before smelling of burnt rubber for three hours. Then a chemical, artificial vanilla appears that doesn’t remove that rubbery scent. It resembles Bvlgari Man in Black but worse, with poor-quality vanilla and a base that makes me wrinkle my nose. It ends with diluted vanilla and wood, but always with that burning smell that makes me rush to clean up. The problem isn’t the price (11 euros is cheap) or that it’s artificial, but that annoying smell that lingers throughout the fragrance. I don’t see it as unisex, but rather masculine. If you like it on your skin, congratulations, it will last longer than others, but beware of over-saturating. I confirm that, with few exceptions, Zara’s men’s perfumes aren’t for me. Goodbye.
I love it: it’s sexy, interesting, and has a refined warmth, perfect for the evening or cold weather. It’s elegant and seductive, ideal for dates. To me, it has a fascinating personality and I want it always in my wardrobe. Rating 8.0. The projection is good for the first hour, then drops to just two hours. Longevity reaches five hours. Definitely recommended.
For the cold, this is the one. The spicy opening lasts about half an hour before shifting to chocolate and florals with a hint of tobacco leaf, though it doesn’t smell like tobacco or pure vanilla. On skin, it lasts nine hours, and on clothes, more than twenty. At 350 pesos, every cent is worth it. It suits all ages, though I’d recommend 25 or older. Despite the divided opinions, you fall in love with it over time.
I bought this fragrance and honestly I have no idea why. I had a clone from Esenzia or something similar, which was much more potent than this; the vanilla dry-down lasted days in the room, because once tested, I never sprayed it again and it remained merely as an air freshener. The first day it arrived, without praise or blame, two sprays and that was it; it was relegated. Until a few days ago when I started spraying it at night when I go to watch a film, and I must say I am starting to enjoy it, because now I do like it and feel comfortable wearing it. And things of life, the other day I had sprayed Ajmal Silver Shade before, which is a clone of Creed, and the two mixed together, I must say I loved the scent that came through after a few hours.
I am on my second bottle; I bought it in the summer blindly, led by the hype surrounding Carlos. It was difficult to find as it was already scarce in shops by July. I bought it, opened it in the car, sprayed it, and fell in love. Is it true that it is only for cold weather is a joke? I used it in summer, I used it in winter, during the day and at night; it is suitable whenever you want, although those are just opinions. I am of the opinion that Dior Homme Parfum is not only for wearing with a suit, just as with ages, but as I say, these are ways of viewing things. Performance may vary according to temperature, of course, but the scent does not change, provided you have a calm trigger use with more heat. To get to the point: Zara and their habit of declaring three notes on the website and then twenty more on the box: this is clear, it is tobacco with vanilla, but tobacco predominates. Moreover, when you smell it, it is pipe tobacco; there was always pipe tobacco in my house and Warm Black smells like that, and it lasts and projects. I have other Zara items with much hype, the Tobacco Collection, Gourmand Leather, etc, etc, and I do not tremble to say this is the best of Zara.
I can summarise this fragrance as: spices, vanilla, and tobacco. We have a potent opening of warm spices, very lightly mentholated, as if it were cloves, although I believe it is the blend of tobacco and cypriol that provides this peculiar property, giving an herbal sensation, just like entering a medicinal herb shop. After a few minutes, the vanilla takes prominence, but it is not the typical synthetic style of a car air freshener; it is black vanilla bean, dry and slightly salty, becoming more intense over time, accompanied by a note of honey that sweetens the composition until now herbaceous and almost bitter. Finally, in the late dry-down at eight hours, it leaves a scent of chocolate and vanilla. On my skin, the total longevity was 12+ hours and it projects well for the first three hours. I am unsure of its resemblance to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, but it is a good fragrance; however, it was not the scent I imagined before buying it blindly.
For me, this fragrance has two parts. The first: the initial four or five hours where only incense is perceived, very potent and rather coarse. It smells literally like a candle shop, but much more invasive and sharp. The second: the dry-down is very good, highlighting above all a very sweet vanilla. Conclusion: In my opinion, this is a perfume attempting to imitate Musc Ravageur but with a tenth of the quality. I bought it blindly and must say I do not recommend it at all, as in my view only the final stage is enjoyable. The first hours are quite unpleasant for my nose. The longevity and trail are very good, which in this case is somewhat counterproductive. 3/10.
I bought it blindly due to its reputation, but… it is the only fragrance I have purchased that I have absolutely disliked. It causes me nausea and headaches; it is a mixture of very strong and penetrating scents. Moreover, I detect nothing masculine in it; I still do not understand how people can enjoy this.
It smells of tobacco and vanilla, a blend reminiscent of Zara’s Warm Black. Upon smelling it, I imagine a mature man with a thick beard, well-dressed in a suit, in cool or cold weather. It is for an alpha male; a silverback, thirty years old and up, though I imagine anyone up to 100 could wear it. They say it is unisex, but honestly, I cannot picture a woman wearing this aroma; it would seem as though she has run out of perfumes and simply grabbed her husband’s and sprayed it on. For women, there are many options to smell rich, sexy, and feminine. Regards.
A pleasant, vanilla and amber perfume, yet not cloying. Personally, I do not detect the tobacco or smoky notes others mention, but it remains very good. Ideal for a date or a plan to stay in watching a film in winter, wrapped up in a blanket to escape the cold; it is excellent. Furthermore, women love it. In my case, it was a gift from my sister as she loved it, and my wife was so fascinated by it that she ended up buying her own bottle.
At first, I thought it smelled like church incense and found it horrible—nothing youthful, only for very specific tastes. I tried it on people of all ages and nobody liked it. However, revisiting it months later with a more refined sense of smell, I recommend it wholeheartedly: it radiates presence, authority, and masculinity. It is not a generic scent; it is interesting, mysterious, and warm. It is currently Zara’s best offering, as their other perfumes are very mainstream; this one stands out with a rich aroma, excellent longevity, and many compliments, although that is not its strongest point.
It smells exactly like Benetton Black; they are identical.
Reading the reviews, I saw it was striking and trendy; I didn’t know this and was surprised. It’s not a mainstream scent nor does it win hearts immediately, but it was the one that attracted me most from Zara after trying ten current perfumes. It has a pleasant, sweet, and mysterious aroma. I recognise the ginger and spiciness at the start, then it turns into pipe tobacco, honey, milk, and toasted wood. The warmth stands out. Its weak point is a slight synthetic touch. It has good longevity and sillage. It’s sober and masculine, for those over 25. It suits cold climates better, day or night. It’s noble, versatile, and in my case, a perfume for personal satisfaction and compliments.
I bought it blindly due to positive comments. Upon application, it was a potent scent with lots of projection and longevity, but it bothered me. It’s not a scent I can use, not even for special occasions; I’d be bothered smelling like that. For its price, it has excellent longevity and sillage, but the scent itself I didn’t like at all. They say it becomes more palatable after hours, but it doesn’t become completely pleasant. I don’t recommend buying it blindly; it’s not for everyone. Use it with caution and don’t over-spray, because in terms of sillage and longevity, it’s a real beast.
Just when I wasn’t expecting it, Zara surprised me. I started in this world with their perfumes but stopped buying them due to longevity. After Vibrant Leather disappointed me, I wasn’t buying them anymore, but my girlfriend wanted to gift something economical to a friend. I tried Warm Black and wow, I loved it. I’m into woody, spicy, and sweet perfumes; here, the sweetness feels more present without being cloying. I liked it so much I bought the pack with Navy Black (that one didn’t work for me, will be a gift). Warm Black is worth it and reminds me of Spicenbomb Extreme (though it’s not the same).
On trying it, I felt a blend of wood, tobacco, vanilla, and lots of eugenol (cloves). It took me a while to understand the blend, but it’s complex and I liked it. It’s not for blind buying; the clove can be difficult to balance with tobacco and vanilla. To me, it seems better than the original Tom Ford because the clove tames the sweetness. It’s discreet, lasts a long time on the skin without being suffocating.
IT DOESN’T REMIND ME OF TOM FORD’S TOBACCO VANILLE! Comparing them is like comparing a VW to an Audi just because they both have four wheels: nothing to do with each other. Tobacco Vanille is excellent; Warm Black isn’t. This Zara one is fine on its own and has given me some compliments, though some girls said it smells feminine and would be better as a gift. It’s a unisex scent heavily leaning feminine. Don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a Tobacco Vanille substitute or if you’re a self-proclaimed alpha male.
I love this perfume. I think its sillage and longevity are moderate, but I have the feeling my nose filters it out over time. Although I don’t perceive it much myself, people have told me it smells great. I use it daily in winter and its cost is very economical.
This is a work of art. Many people dismiss it because it’s from Zara and cheap, but it’s a beast. If you swapped the label for a niche brand, perfumeries would price it at $400. What more could you want? It has brutal sillage and projection. Laughing-stock price and a compliment machine.
I read many reviews and can’t understand how anyone could like it. I received it at Christmas and from the first spray, it felt synthetic, like burnt plastic and cat urine (sounds exaggerated, but that’s what it is). Only at the end does it recall Tobacco Vanille, but the suffering of the first two-thirds isn’t worth it. Even at Zara, there are better options. For me, it was a big NO.
I tried it on my arm at Zara: strong, spicy, and slightly unpleasant opening. My daughter said it smelled like an old church. After half an hour, it shifts to vanilla with oud, very rich and similar to Benetton’s Colors Man Black. I prefer the Benetton one. I’d use it in fresh weather (10-25 degrees) for the office or semi-formal outings. It’s for personal enjoyment; I don’t think it will garner many compliments.
I bought this blindly, trusting its predecessor, but it was a mistake. The opening is chaotic and strident, likely due to the ginger, lasting until well past the first hour. Afterwards, the sweetness takes over and becomes as pleasant as the previous version. Performance is good, but given its peculiar nature, I don’t recommend buying it blindly. That said, the value for money is incredible and it’s worth it if you like sweet perfumes with a unique twist.
The first time I smelled it, I disliked it, but I applied it several more times until I understood it. The opening is strong and sometimes off-putting to those around you, but once it dries down, the same people are full of compliments. It’s rich, sweet and very long-lasting on skin, even more so on clothes; it’s still there the next day, softer but present. One of my favourites for the cold, especially as in Mexico the dates to wear it are approaching.
Very particular. Saffron with vanilla. It’s like smelling burnt custard. Different, certainly.
Something strange happens with this fragrance. If I smell it freshly applied up close on skin or paper, it seems strident and synthetic until it dries down. HOWEVER, once I apply it to my neck and clothes to go out, it smells very pleasant. In short, freshly applied and up close: bad, but from a distance (neck): very good.
Synthetic to the max. If you want elegant vanilla, go for Tom Ford Noir Extreme or Tobacco Vanille instead.
In these weeks I tested 25-30 fragrances from Zara and this is the one that projects and lasts the most. At first it put me off, smelling of wet cardboard. When I got home, bursts of a scent I adored would hit me and wouldn’t stop all afternoon. It was this one. Don’t buy blindly; I don’t think it will be pleasant for everyone, but it doesn’t have to be. It smells like a family coat on Christmas, incense in church, heavy and sweet food shop scents in winter, a wooden house with a fireplace, reading an old book in a vintage shop. Ironically, I was looking for incense and warmth, and it’s probably the best value for money. Without seeing the bottle, I’d say it smells three or four times its price.
Smells like vanilla custard with incense. It lasts a long time on me and projects brilliantly. It’s brought me many compliments and the value for money is unbeatable.
Not for everyone, don’t buy blindly as it smells very cloying, but if you like those aromas you’ll love it. It lasts well and the scent is rich; although synthetic, it’s hard to compare it with Spicebomb or Tobacco Vanille in terms of ingredient quality, but it has a similar touch.
Very pleasant fragrance with a rich, well-executed vanilla. Smells similar to Mancera’s Aoud Vanilla. Sweet and vanilla-forward, 100% recommended.
I’m a woman and I’ve been wearing this like crazy since October. I know it’s a masculine scent and I’d love to wear it on a man, but it doesn’t stop me from using it myself in the cold. I adore the spices (saffron, ginger) with a hint of clove, cardamom and cinnamon. The vanilla isn’t pastry-like and the church incense calms the heat. On my skin, it smells like black tea, like a spicy and sweet masala chai in a cosy café. It reminds me of Herod by Parfums de Marly and Spicebomb Infrared, but it’s drier and less invasive. Presentation: 6/10 (it works but is standard). Longevity: 8/10 (over 8 hours). Sillage: 5/10 (intimate, which is better). Originality: 8/10 (good for Zara and the price). Versatility: 4/10 (cold weather only, it’s suffocating in summer). Season: autumn/winter. Taste: 9/10. Would I buy it again?: yes.
Brutal fragrance, although it’s already discontinued. It goes beyond a Tobacco Vanille clone: opens with saffron, ginger and a sweet vanilla, perfect for any occasion. I just wish Zara would bring it back, as it’s the best I’ve ever tried.
