Descripción

Burberry Weekend for Women is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 1997, this composition was created by perfumer Nathalie Lorson. The top notes unfold with reseda, mandarin, and sage; the heart reveals a harmony of nectarine, blue hyacinth, peach blossom, rosehip, iris, red cyclamen, and violet root; while the base notes settle on musk, sandalwood, and cedar.

  • I haven’t been able to get hold of this perfume. Here in Argentina there is one with the same packaging, but the bottle is transparent, the box is a lighter yellow and the print is also more faded. I’ve asked several staff members and none know if they are two different versions.

A very good perfume. It’s a fresh floral that lasts a long time and at the same time looks elegant.

  • Very soft and fruity, just like the colour of its packaging. It’s delicate, simple yet lovely; nothing extravagant, but certainly delicious.

  • I was gifted it years ago and used it with pleasure. A sample arrived a few months ago and I was delighted, but to my surprise, I didn’t like it at all :O. It seemed very intense, serious and a little masculine. To my taste, it’s quite overwhelming, with lots of iris that reminds me of grandmothers’ perfumes.

  • I bought it years ago after a cheap tester didn’t initially convince me, but it soon started to seduce me. I repurchased it two years ago and fell in love with it again so much that I’m now finishing the bottle and hunting for deals online.

  • I love it! It’s fresh yet distinguished. I have bought it on several occasions; its fragrance is long-lasting and makes itself felt without being invasive. I recommend it with my eyes closed.

Exquisite, soft yet intense at the same time. A classic but elegant aroma. I use it every day and it never ceases to enchant me. Its fixative properties are excellent. Recommended 100%.

  • I’m not sure! When I first smelled it, I loved it, fresh and exact, like a weekend in the countryside or by a lake, something semi-romantic. Its almost ethereal aroma reminded me of those images from Jane Austen’s 1800s romantic films… but on my skin, no, it turned suffocating and heavy, and the final note smelling of tangerine seems very artificial and I find it horribly annoying. I’m not saying the perfume is bad, no! It’s just that on my skin I don’t like it, I don’t even know where it ends. I suppose I’ll throw it away, as just seeing it in the picture brings its aroma back to my mind, and I can’t stand this perfume any longer.

  • I bought it a few days ago and it’s a hit. It lasts a long time, doesn’t invade, but is clearly noticeable. I love it. In my country we are in summer, but I believe it is suitable for all seasons.

On my skin, Weekend comes out totally fruity; I don’t recall perceiving the flowers. The notes of tangerine, nectarine, musk, and in the base sandalwood and cedar were enhanced. I haven’t used it in a long time, but when I used it in the 90s I loved it, because its woody base made it stand out among perfumes of that era; it seemed fresh for the time, and I used it in the afternoon and in summer. Nowadays, I don’t think it’s quite as youthful; it’s a mature perfume with medium intensity. Rating 7/10.

That’s what PH is. The Weekend on my skin came out totally fruity; I don’t recall perceiving the flowers. I haven’t used it for a long time, but in the 90s I loved it because its woody base made it stand out among perfumes of the era; I thought it was fresh for summer and used it in the afternoon. Nowadays I don’t think it’s such a youthful scent; it’s a mature perfume with medium intensity. Rating 7/10.

A charming, distinguished perfume that, although intended for informal occasions, possesses great elegance. I consider it more adult, better suited for women aged 25 and above. In Weekend for Women, the floral and fruity notes (with nectarine as the star) coexist harmoniously over a powdery base, creating a very interesting blend. It has good fixative properties and notable projection, softly enveloping. The woman’s profile it evokes is that of a distinguished and cheerful lady, with a British aesthetic, who decides to break her routine, indulge herself, and take a breather to be herself, surrendering to the pleasures of a day out, whether alone or accompanied, dressed in sportswear or very comfortable clothes, with a relaxed purpose. This Burberry fragrance is a good introduction for those unfamiliar with the brand; they take an interesting surprise when they try it for the first time while looking for something more ‘prestigious’. Fragrance: 8.5/10. Longevity: 8.5/10. Projection: 8/10. Versatility: 9/10.

Delicious and sweet, but not that sticky, candy-like sweetness. It’s a sophisticated, powdery sweet. The aroma is so lovely and balanced. The peach note stands out greatly on my skin, whereas on my mother it becomes a bouquet of hyacinths and roses. Regarding longevity, my opinion isn’t final: on me it lasts about 6 to 8 hours, but on my mother it’s eternal. I recommend it 100%.

  • Intoxicating fragrance: floral and very fresh at first, then dries down to a sweeter scent without being heavy. Suitable for both day and night. I see it for a young girl going out for coffee or for a lady of 70. It is long-lasting and leaves a soft trail.

  • I was given a paper sample in a store and it didn’t catch my attention, so I left it in my case near my PC. That night, sitting in front of the screen, I sensed an incredibly delicious scent. I remembered it was Weekend, and the next day when I returned to the city, I tested it on my wrist: love at second sight! It cost around $100, but after searching high and low, I found it at a good price online. Usually, I seek fresh aromas, but this broke my routine and expanded my options. At first, I thought it wasn’t for hot days, but it’s not cloying and I enjoy it greatly. It’s the one I’ve liked most lately. My colleague and my sisters also adored it. It’s beautiful, and when I wear it, it lifts the sadness of not being able to enjoy my favourite discontinued scents.

Exquisite! It has amazing longevity, and I managed to find it in Chile while I’m actually from Argentina.

  • Exquisite, floral and powdery, super pleasant, a fresh, versatile and very soft aroma. However, it’s very long-lasting and has good sillage for being so soft and floral; ideal for the day. A little gem.

  • It’s an autumn-winter perfume that highlights the powdery, fruity and woody notes. It lasts a long time on the skin; I liked it, but it doesn’t fully fascinate me. I feel it’s for a woman from the age of 40.

  • A floral perfume that gives a lot of vitality; literally, it’s like having a free weekend with the energy to do anything. It’s powerful and lasts a long time on the skin.

  • I found it on offer and bought it. I hadn’t had it for years and was afraid that at 65 it wouldn’t suit me anymore. Well, I love it and it makes me feel good. It lasts like a miracle, has a trail and is a fresh burst, a balance between flowers and wood, sweet but not cloying. It transcends, makes a presence and it’s hard for it to be detected beyond 50cm, although people have praised it from afar. To me it’s exquisite, fresh but with body, a delight. Judging by the ingredients, I sense a soft citrus touch, the floral and the cedar, none invasive. It’s especially a spring perfume, but suits every occasion.

  • I found it on offer and bought it! I hadn’t owned it for years and was afraid that at 65 it might no longer be for me. Well, I don’t know what others think, but I really love it and the best part is that it makes me feel good. It lasts, which on my skin is a miracle; it has sillage, and although I can’t define the components, it’s a fresh burst, a balance between floral and woody but sweet without being cloying. It transcends as something fresh that makes a presence. If it persists on me, I recommend it to everyone because it’s very hard to smell beyond 50cm, and this one, conversely, has been praised from afar. For me, it’s exquisite, fresh yet substantial, a delight. Looking at the ingredients, I note a soft citrus touch, floral and cedar, and none are invasive. A delight. It’s especially a spring perfume, but suits any occasion.

  • I have so much love for this perfume. It takes me back to beautiful past times. I sense it more fruity than floral. Basically, it smells like spring and youth. That ageless youth. You’re my crush, Burberry Weekend (though I must confess, for perfumes, I’m not loyal) :D.

  • It was my first ‘adult’ perfume; my boyfriend gifted it to me for my birthday at the end of February years ago; I wore it when we married in April (autumn here), so I have wonderful memories. It came in a 30ml bottle and I didn’t know much more about it. In 2018 I found it at Zofree in Iquique, Chile (along with other discontinued fragrances from Argentina). I have the 100ml version. I use it moderately and only on occasions as it’s striking for my taste, but it lasts a long time on the skin, at least six hours. No need to reapply. It’s intense, sophisticated, feminine and elegant (like several Burberrys I’ve used). I associate it with high summer and autumn, perhaps because the top notes recall ripe fruit, with a twilight sweetness. Its trail is warm, enveloping and luxurious. It suits any occasion, day or night, where you want to stand out or take centre stage.

  • Smells like cream with flowers (hyacinths), sweet. Good longevity and sillage. A good perfume, well-defined; you recognise it if you smell it again, but I gifted it away as it’s not my favourite notes.

  • I have a special affection for this perfume 🤎; my husband gifted it to me years ago. I wore it in summer and autumn; it lingered wonderfully on skin and clothes. It’s one of my favourite Burberrys, though I’m not sure if I’d wear it again as my tastes have changed 🤭.

  • gabecha1989

I bought a decant thinking it was summery, fresh and clean, but found none of that. It smells old, nothing fresh; I detect a honey note, a bit heavy and annoying, lacking cleanliness and youth… it’s an Anais Anais-style floral blend, nothing I like.

  • ceciiliapaz

I had it years ago and loved it; it had incredible staying power. I tried it again in a shop and it’s not the same: it smells good and is similar, but they reformulated it badly. The longevity is a sigh. How good it was that I tried it and didn’t buy it; it’s far too expensive for what it lasts. Another perfume ruined by their cursed reformulations. I wouldn’t buy it again.

I had it years ago and liked it a lot; it had excellent longevity. A few days ago I tried it again in a shop and it’s not what I remembered: it smells good, very similar to what I had, but it’s obvious they reformulated it badly. The longevity is a sigh. How good that I tried it and didn’t buy it, because it’s far too expensive for what it lasts now. Another perfume they’ve ruined with their damn reformulations. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • maruchi86

I met it in the 2000s and loved it. I bought it again years later and found a different bottle: the name is the same but the bottle is no longer the original one. I smelled it and fell in love with the scent again, but the longevity and projection are nowhere near the original, which was eternal. What a pity it’s so beautiful.

  • Nikky0527

To be honest: it’s my favourite, it brings back memories, and it smells delicious and addictive. Lately I haven’t used it for three reasons: it’s no longer available in that packaging, I think the scent has been lowered so now you have to shower for it to last as before; it’s almost impossible to get the original in Colombia; and because it’s so scarce, the price has risen significantly. It’s super feminine, elegant, sweet, and citrusy.

  • I was gifted it and, although I initially thought it was for an older lady, I was surprised by the quality. The bottle is simple but the perfume is floral, fresh, and talcum-like; as it dries down it feels sweet, perhaps due to the peach. It’s elegant and very feminine.

  • I don’t understand what they did to my Weekend; the new formula doesn’t even come close to the original in longevity or projection. I need it to return to how it was before.

  • I love buying fragrances blind and Weekend surprised me: it’s rich, balanced, and non-intrusive. Although its trail is moderate, it comes alive hours later with a powdery touch that I adore. I recommend it if you’re looking for discreet florals in the style of Ralph Lauren or Carolina Herrera; it has similarities but its own originality.

  • Burberry Weekend is a hidden gem, floral and timeless. Although it lasts about five hours, it projects a moderate trail without being intrusive and smells delicious: floral, creamy, and powdery. It’s formal, subtle, and perfect for the day. If you like J’adore or Carolina Herrera, you’ll love it; it’s the best quality-price alternative for millefiori lovers.

  • Paquita83

It’s a proper 90s peach: sweet from the nectarine and mandarin but clean. The flowers add elegance and timelessness. I see it as a fruity floral from the past, luminous and sweet without being pretentious. If you like peaches, you must try it.

  • Smells sweet and citrusy yet incredibly elegant; nothing like a dessert or candy scent. It’s the perfect blend for a delicate fragrance that seduces effortlessly.
