It is a dense, spicy rose with a soft background oud, without acidity or harsh edges, over an opulent bed of patchouli and amber. That background prevents the rose from dominating too much, appealing even to those who don’t love flowers. I don’t detect any incense at all. It is an exquisite, distinguished, elegant fragrance with the perfect amount of sweetness. I am obsessed with it and it deserves a bottle if you are looking for something for special occasions, especially in formal settings. It also works well for important work meetings. It lasts over 10 hours on skin and much longer on clothes, with a notable trail. It’s already on my wishlist. This Yellow Rose – Incense smells like Montale or Mancera, those that use rose as a base and dance it with oud or amber of varying qualities. Here, however, it shines for its quality, very polished and elegant, with a velvety texture. What sets it apart is the cinnamon and that sweet touch that makes it more potent and unique for this DNA. I love it; sometimes it reminds me of Oud Couture (my favourite in the rose-oud combo), equally elegant, but this Bohoboco one is more versatile and clean. I recommend trying it, especially if you move within these scents. Note: 7/10 Tested on official sample.
