Floral and green, a green that I can’t quite identify as grass, apple or pear, with a talc-like touch that makes it seem more expensive. I’d estimate the longevity at around four hours, though it depends on the pH.
A fresh scent, totally summery. Green floral, though I personally detect a slight fruity note. It was my favourite as a teenager. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long on the skin. It’s perfect for summer if you don’t like citrusy perfumes too much.
Yessamin brings back memories of the turn of the century; it was the olfactory line of the nineties. The name is a variation of jasmine and that’s part of its essence; besides jasmine, I detect chamomile, raspberry or blackberry, a touch of wood and notes similar to Benetton’s Tribu and Burberry’s Society of the time. It features an earthy note that some might find dirty, but to me it smells of an intelligent woman who managed to secure a seemingly innocent bottle from a supplier, one that holds within its depths the secrets of communion with the earth, the forest, rituals of love and seduction. That is what it hides. I love it for its transgression, and the price is under five dollars.
Yessamin brings back memories of the turn of the century; it was the olfactive line of the nineties. The name is a variation of jasmine and that’s part of its essence. Besides jasmine, I detect chamomile, raspberry or blackberry, a touch of wood and notes similar to Benetton’s Tribu and Burberry’s Society from that era. A earthy note stands out, which some might find dirty, but to me it smells of an intelligent woman who managed to secure a seemingly innocent bottle from a supplier, hiding within it the secrets of communion with the earth, the forest, rituals of love and seduction. That’s what it conceals. I love it for its transgression and the price is under five dollars.
When it launched in Argentina I was an Avon consultant, aged 19. My mother told me: ‘Invest, buy a couple of earrings and a perfume, so clients see that you use the products yourself’. I bought Yessamin. I liked it very much and it helped me sell. Very youthful, without being that cloying girl perfume. It smelled like a bouquet of wildflowers, very wearable. What a pity that perfumes like this are now discontinued.
I agree with those who say it’s a green floral, but to me it sounds more like mentholated grass. It’s ideal for stifling hot days. It’s not a fragrance that’s overwhelming, but you’ll be glad to have it in your collection when temperatures exceed 32 degrees. I usually mix it with the TODAY, TOMORROW ALWAYS line, and believe me, for a summer heatwave it’s like a cold, delicious cocktail. On its own I don’t wear it much, but I’m grateful to have these seasonal options.
I picked this up at Avon a couple of weeks ago after reading a review claiming it smells like mint, and wow, it does: it’s a delicious, refreshing mint with fresh floral notes. I wear it for everyday use and for the gym. The longevity is excellent. If it’s from Avon, it doesn’t disappoint.
I picked this up recently after reading a review promising a mentholated grass scent, and it didn’t disappoint: it smells of fresh mint with freshly cut flowers, very clean and refreshing. I wear it to the gym, and although it’s from Avon, it does its job without letting me down.
I ordered it from Avon about two weeks after reading that it smells of mint, and indeed, it’s a delicious, refreshing mint with fresh floral notes. I use it daily and at the gym; the longevity is very good. If it is from Avon, it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
