Your Turn by Billie Eilish

If you like the drydown of Santal 33 and want to get it at a more affordable price, you’ll find it in Your Turn. On my skin it doesn’t evolve much; from the opening it stays in the base phase, with the woods standing out. It’s spicy (from the ginger), aromatic (from the jasmine) and extremely WOODY. WHAT SHINES MOST ARE THE WOODS. In my opinion, it’s totally suitable for sandalwood fans.

It smells smoky and sweet, like incense with coconut water.

I’ve just blind-bought it, and I’m someone who likes feminine and gourmand perfumes, but smelling this for the first time was a wow. I can detect cardamom and sandalwood; the coconut water makes the scent softer and more youthful. The peach comes through in the drydown, but cardamom and sandalwood predominate. And the musk sweetens it nicely. For someone who enjoys masculine perfumes, you can blind-buy this and love it; if not, steer clear. This perfume has the magic of adapting to whatever gender wears it: on a woman it feels feminine-mature and dominant, and on a man it feels gentle-seductive and sensual. The sillage is an 8 and the longevity a 10. Not to mention the bottle, it’s beautiful, and it feels and smells like a niche perfume. I was fascinated.

It smells almost the same as Eilish No. 2, though this one smells a little better. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly. It smells like a wealthy gentleman.

To be honest, I had high expectations for this fragrance and they were met, at least in terms of scent. It’s a fragrance I’d call a second skin, because its smell isn’t too intense or strong; it’s genuinely a smell that’s more pleasant to the nose than many others I own. This scent combines the concepts of: spicy / fruity – woody / musky. In the opening, you get a citrus note without acidity, which is the cardamom; there’s ginger and bergamot, but they’re very much toned down, I think they’re there to add emphasis to the cardamom. This lasts 5 minutes at most while drying. In the heart, the coconut water note practically stands out, and it’s delicious to my nose; the peach isn’t very noticeable, perhaps it’s there to give a little sweetness to the coconut water. It lasts around 2-3 hours with moderate projection. And the base is what truly makes this perfume special: sandalwood, musk and ISO E Super create a creamy, olfactorily addictive base; it smells clean with creamy wood — something great. It’s a shame it doesn’t last or project more; this experience gives another 2-3 hours. This fragrance excels in cold and rainy climates; that’s where it genuinely shines. Its longevity is acceptable, giving up to 6 hours on skin and up to 8 on clothes. If I had to describe the scent, it would be like smelling a very expensive moisturiser with a tropical vibe because of the coconut water. Scent: 7 / 10. Sillage / Projection:5.5 /10. Price:5.5 /10. Versatility:6.5 /10.

It’s literally Eilish No. 2 if it had a coconut water note. I like it more than Eilish No. 2, that’s for sure.

I’ve completely fallen in love with this fragrance. I’m currently using Eilish 2, but I feel it’s more of an evening and winter scent; Your Turn, however, is more for everyday wear and leaves a lovely aroma. It’s a unisex fragrance; if you like feminine perfumes, I’m not sure I would recommend it.

I have to be honest: the first time I smelled it, it didn’t convince me at all. Not because it was a bad perfume — it smells nice — but the woody smell was very intense and leaned too masculine, so I couldn’t see myself wearing it. I decided to give it another go, and it was the right call. Also, as is usual with all of Billie’s fragrances, the bottle is gorgeous. The opening is very woody, with a very prominent sandalwood that almost overpowers everything else. But if you leave it for a few minutes, it softens and you begin to notice jasmine, coconut water and peach. I find it quite curious, because in just a few minutes it changes enormously: the wood that initially covers everything becomes a background note and is no longer the main character. Scents normally develop, but I feel this one is like having two different perfumes; I’d recommend waiting a bit before deciding whether you like it, as the fragrance changes very quickly. It reminds me of Eilish 2, but that one comes across as slightly more masculine; this one feels better balanced, unisex. It’s a similar version, but the coconut water tones it down a lot, and Your Turn is sweeter and more floral, especially after the opening, whereas the other one stays woody, with palo santo and incense throughout. This one is a little more sophisticated and casual. The downside I do see is the projection. Eilish 2 projects strongly, but Your Turn is much more close to the skin; I don’t feel it has the same projection or longevity. Even so, it’s a very good perfume, but don’t expect the longevity or projection of the other range. Personally, I prefer Your Turn to Eilish 2, but if you like both and want better performance, I’d recommend Eilish 2 — I think it wins hands down in both projection and longevity. But for scent, this one is more my style.

I bought it blind and, being a lover of feminine gourmands, I was left speechless. You can smell the cardamom and sandalwood; the coconut water gives it a youthful and soft touch, while the peach appears as it dries. The cardamom and sandalwood dominate, and the musk sweetens it beautifully. If you like masculine perfumes, try it without fear; if not, better not. It has the magic of adapting to gender: on a woman it’s feminine and dominant, on a man it’s seductive and sensual. The trail is an 8 and the longevity a 10. Also, the bottle is gorgeous and smells niche; I’ve been fascinated by it.

It’s like Santal 33 but with a touch of coconut water and no peach. It’s not for buying blind; remember it smells very much like Eilish NO.2, but You Turn is more sophisticated and leans more towards unisex masculine 💎. If you prefer Eilish’s golden style or Ariana Grande-style fragrances, you probably won’t like it.

It smells almost identical to Eilish N2, though the latter is better. I wouldn’t recommend it if you buy it blind; it smells like ‘rich man’.
