“I’m French and I come from a very modest background, but my mother always loved luxury, and luxurious perfume above all else. From a young age, I learned from her that you can’t put a price on something you love.

She passed away and passed on her passion for beautiful scents to me. That’s why we decided to give her name ‘Jousset’ to our main brand. On the other hand, my father taught me that I have to work to get the things I want.

Together, they gave me two important lessons: ‘Try it and you’ll see, be bold and patient’ and ‘If you can’t find what you want, make it yourself’.

After falling in love with an oriental perfume a few years ago, I realised I couldn’t afford a second bottle. So I learned to detect the ingredients and that’s where my search in perfumery began: learning and recording every perfumery material I could find, no matter how scarce.

Today I create aromas that I couldn’t find on the market, even after taking an olfactory trip around the world. Powerful sillage and longevity can be manipulated with conscientious work, quality ingredients and intelligent blending—so my mission is simply to meet my clients’ needs!” — Jimmy Bodin.
