  • Well, what can I say? It must be the blessed pH or an atrophied nose, but this perfume (2019) on my skin smells like Mugler’s Alien, yes, like Alien. I’ve been testing it for months because it was on my wishlist, but although I like its scent, I feel it’s too strong and imposing (I wouldn’t classify it as elegant) for my lifestyle; I can’t see myself wearing it for special occasions as I don’t have many gala parties or events requiring such ostentation. I’m more into house parties, casual bars, and romantic dinners at ‘hipster’ restaurants. So… I went to Zara for clothes and, almost by habit, I always have to grab a perfume. Although Zara has many now, I spent ages trying them all and very few convinced me; I was thinking of buying A Perfume, but although the quality is notable, the scent didn’t quite win me over. In those moments, I asked about Rose Gold because it wasn’t on display and they had it super tucked away with its tester; they had to take it out for me. When I smelled it, I said: ‘Yes, I’m taking this one’. I left the bottle in its packaging on the display to grab it while I finished shopping, and when I came back for it, they had put it away again. I asked for it again and the sales assistant said: ‘But are you going to take it?!’; well, yes, I told her. Haha, anyway. I got home, bathed and changed, and put it on. Well wow, I said: it’s Alien (very) dosed, of course, that smell of jasmine or neroli or white flowers with very strong amber when it first comes out, but the intensity goes down. It suits me super well as I have the scent without the overwhelming power I don’t need. Edit: I’ve been wearing it at the office for a couple of days, applying it at home and then going out. I thought it was close to the skin but I was always smelling it, until today a colleague finally said to me: ‘Did you change your perfume, truthfully?’; and I said: ‘Yes’. Did she smell it? She said: ‘Yes, since yesterday you arrived, it smells like dusty flowers, it smells delicious’. And I thought it had poor projection. 🙂

  • Daniela'mor

It fills a room with flowers everywhere, ideal for open spaces and with an audience, but provided you don’t feel sick yourself. The scent is quite rich for evening wear, although the flowers are super prominent; sometimes they even make me sneeze.

  • I got it in a duo pack with Gold Zara, both in a perfume-style box, 80 ml each. The description for ROSE GOLD is ‘white floral (magnolia, gardenia and amber) for special occasions, warm/satisfied/opulent’. It smells similar to Gucci Bloom or Michael Kors Gold in the neroli note, which is what stands out the most. GOLD, the new version, is ‘ARTISAN’S GOLD sweet floral (jasmine, gardenia and honey) for special occasions, sophisticated/sensual/opulent’. It has an air of Issey Miyake Pure Nectar or JPG Scandal, with the honey and a touch of gardenia standing out. Its longevity is about four hours and the trail is low. The price is super cheap. The only thing I’d say about Rose Gold is that if you don’t like neroli, even though it comes out soft, it settles well on the skin and can be overwhelming for some people; you should try it for at least an hour before deciding to buy it.

  • I picked it up in November 2020 because I thought it was similar to Alien. Nothing like it, though; less potent, but it definitely smells like those lovely, addictive amber flowers. It’s a beautiful, elegant perfume, pure floral luxury, uuuuh. Absolutely delicious! I wore it on my clothes yesterday at 5 pm and it’s now 4 am the next day and my clothes still smell a little bit. People say it’s similar to Cucci Bloom or CH 212 VIP Rose, but I haven’t tried those, haha. Anyone want to confirm?

  • Intense and lasts for ages. It gives me a bit of a whiff, but for those who enjoy this style, it’s going to be a favourite for hours. The trail is brilliant and it’s noticeable all night.
