What a pity they’ve discontinued it; it’s a beautiful fragrance. It transports me to a field of white flowers, super fresh and luminous. To me, it seemed creamy, though I’m sure it’s that animalic touch that gives it a soft skin-like quality, like floating among flowers with something warm and tender. It had me head over heels, and people always complimented me when I wore it. My sister took all the Marc Jacobs perfumes she could find, but I could only be faithful to this one. When they discontinued it, I bought gardenia plants so I wouldn’t lose the scent.
It repels me; it smells like something old…
I absolutely love it; it’s my favourite perfume of all. I discovered it while working as housekeeping at a luxury hotel for wealthy guests. I was cleaning a room, and as soon as I approached the bathroom, I caught that gorgeous scent. I fell in love at first sight and rummaged through the guest’s belongings to find out what it was. It lasts forever; it’s very oriental. First, it smells of jasmine, then a base note comes through to complete it—I’m not sure if it’s musk or an orange blossom I don’t see listed. It’s perfect for everything. I use it on special occasions because of the price, but if it weren’t for that, I’d wear it every day. It reminds me of poolside scents and good things. I don’t know how to describe it further and feel this review doesn’t do it justice.
I’m so surprised there isn’t a review for this perfume given how exquisite it is. I’d tried it years ago and don’t recall feeling that spark I experienced today when I tried it again. What a wonderful aroma, so long-lasting, and what a trail! And what a good price; although it’s not cheap, the truth is it has great value because it lasts so long. I give it an absolute 10. It reminds me of the Private Collection tuberose and gardenia… since I already own that, I decided not to buy it, but I must clarify that the dry-down, after about 3-4 hours, is slightly different from the tuberose and gardenia in this Lauder, yet it doesn’t fade or disappear; it’s always there. I think I will buy it after all, hehe.
