I just tried it and the truth is… it’s super good. For some reason, it reminded me of Thierry Mugler’s Womanity (yes, don’t be alarmed) and CH Men Sport by Carolina Herrera, probably due to that touch of wild grass coming from the cardamono mixed with fig leaves (the scandalous part in Womanity, of course). Truly, a worthy fragrance.
ANOTHER ONE I LOVE… ITS FIG NOTES: I LOVE THEM! SUPER FRESH AND LASTS A LONG TIME… INCREDIBLE CLASSIC! I’VE BEEN USING IT FOR YEARS AND IT DOESN’T GET OLD…!!!
It’s a super peculiar and original scent. Its star note is the fig, very aromatic but not invasive on my skin. Although it’s soft, it lasts quite a bit on clothes. I recommend it for being original (and because it’s uncommon, so it surprises). The downside is you can’t find it in so many places anymore; it seems they’re taking it off the market 🙁
I didn’t like it, full stop. It was a blind buy and a NO. For some reason, there’s a note on my skin that doesn’t work and makes me smell unpleasant, like a ‘milky’ note that pulls me away. The longevity is very short. It’s an aroma that could be unisex, like soap, but in my case, it’s like a dusty attic soap. I sensed a bit of chemistry, not much, but there’s a point that puts me off. I’ve used it as a room freshener; that’s all I’ll say.
I didn’t like it, full stop. It was a blind buy and a definite no. There’s a note on my skin that simply doesn’t work, making me smell something unpleasant, like a ‘milky’ note that throws me off. The longevity is quite short. It could be a unisex scent, soap-like, but in my case, it smells like damp cellar soap. I detected a slight chemical edge, not overwhelming, but there’s a certain note that gives me pause. I have used it as a room freshener, though.
It was my first perfume back in 2003, alongside YSL Live Jazz, and it sparked my interest in fragrances when I was just twelve. Marc Jacobs for Men had a strange yet relaxing aura, completely unlike anything else. It wasn’t a powerhouse in terms of longevity, but fair and discreet; however, I felt it was unfair how it was treated. It’s not a masterpiece, but I have a soft spot for it. It’s becoming hard to find on eBay, so the price hasn’t skyrocketed yet. Seize the opportunity before it gets more expensive $$$
This was one of the fragrances, along with YSL Live Jazz in 2003 (and my first perfume), that sparked my hobby at the age of 12. Marc Jacobs for Men had a strange yet relaxing aura, nothing like the rest. It was never a beast in terms of longevity, just fair and discreet. I felt it was unfair how it was treated. Not being a great wonder, I still have an affection for it, and it’s becoming extinct on eBay, so it’s not too expensive yet. Take advantage of it before the price goes up.
It’s luminous and perfect for daytime. Hard to find here, which makes it exclusive and personal. On my skin, the fig dominates everything. It smells similar to Diptyque’s Philosykos (agreeing with others), but this one is greener and more synthetic, whereas Diptyque’s is creamier and sweeter. It’s not a bad fragrance; it has personality. The longevity isn’t the best, but it evolves well, leaving a soft woody and spicy trail, always with the fig. It’s inspired by sunny spring and summer days. It suits a young, independent, and rebellious man perfectly, ideal for daytime leisure and work. You’ll like it. It’s fruity with green nuances. Don’t be fooled by the strong opening; it evolves into something soft, fig-like and fruity. I liked it when it launched and still do. It’s different from the ambroxan-heavy fragrances of today.
It was my perfume for years; a pity it’s no longer available anywhere.
Smells quite synthetic, but to me it’s pure coconut, even though it’s not listed on the spec sheet. It’s very original; it doesn’t smell like anything else, as they claim.
