Fils de Dieu du riz et des agrumes by Etat Libre d'Orange is a spicy oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2012, this olfactive composition was created by perfumer Ralf Schwieger. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds a vibrant top note of lime, ginger flower, coriander and shiso. The heart reveals a warm and exotic blend of rice, coconut, cardamom, cinnamon, jasmine and May rose. The base settles with elegance, featuring a foundation of musk, tonka bean, amber, vetiver, castoreum and leather.

I’m not sure if it’s the most delicious spiced oriental that exists, but it is certainly the richest one I’ve tried. It features a masterful fruity composition, very much in the house’s style. I tested it on blotter and then on skin to observe the evolution. The obvious thing is that easy-to-detect fruity, sweet, and spiced aura. Another great success from the brand.
A fresh, light, powdery, and sweet oriental that doesn’t cloy. Reminds me of classic Guerlain scents like Shalimar and Habit Rouge (though this is lighter). Ideal for daytime. Smells like rice pudding powder with hints of cinnamon, cardamom, a touch of coconut and ginger. The lemon isn’t acidic, blending with jasmine and amber, while leather and Tonka bean amplify the lingering sweetness. Lovely, comfortable, with good longevity and a sillage that isn’t intrusive. I enjoy it very much.
Sounds nice, but I wouldn’t wear it myself; it gives me a bargain-basement vibe, with a soapy vanilla scent mixed with floral air freshener. That blend is literally the perfume.
