Fresh and delicate, the soft, non-bitter basil opens the composition; neroli follows in the background, adding that typical cologne-like freshness and cleanliness. It’s not like Neroli Portofino nor does it have the punch of Tom Ford’s version, but as it dries down it becomes soapy thanks to a green vetiver with an earthy note that gives it body. Perfect for summer and spring, it’s clean, pleasant and totally unisex. Longevity and projection are moderate. It conveys peace and calm, lifts the mood. At first it’s subtle, but with wear its rating goes up significantly; it smells brilliant once it has settled in.
I bought this blind and I must confess I’m not a huge fan of neroli, but it turned out much nicer than I expected. It smells super delicate, like a baby cologne but far more refined. Despite being light and ethereal, I was pleasantly surprised by its longevity: it’s very skin-close, yet noticeable from time to time throughout the day.
