I don’t know how people put up with this on the skin. It’s an old-school fragrance, but one that smells unpleasant. Don’t waste your money; they should charge you just to wear it.
It opens fresh with juniper, lemon and ginger; by 5 hours it turns sweet with tonka, tea and soft tobacco; by 9 hours sandalwood and amber; by 12 hours musk, cedar and patchouli. It’s a soft, spicy woody scent, ideal for intermediate seasons, with a moderate trail that fades to skin-level by the end and lasts over 12 hours. Better suited for daytime wear.
It arrived today and I liked it. It reminds me a bit of Escada’s Casual Friday, probably due to the cinnamon. Of course, Aura is less intense and sweet; I’ll try it to see what happens…
I smelled ginger, juniper and green tea; in the middle I noticed nutmeg, a hint of cinnamon and a very low note of tobacco; in the base amber, sandalwood and patchouli. It’s like a more citrusy version of the original Perry Ellis 360, but sharper and less sweet, though it still retains that powdery touch. It’s not bad, but it wasn’t what I expected. I used it a few times, gave it away and wouldn’t buy it again.
