Accendis Lucevera is a brutal burst of freshness upon application, outshining any fruity chypre I’ve tried with its gin tonic note; then the fruits become rich before settling into cedar, where you can truly sense the quality and naturalness of the ingredients. Over time, it causes olfactory fatigue so you stop noticing it, yet it remains there. Fresh top, rich and fruity heart, and a very woody base.

  3. It tries to pass itself off as a clone of Aventus but fails in the blend; the construction is weak, synthetic, and those blackcurrant and green notes dominate without adding elegance. In the end, it smells like a cheap Creed imitation.
