An aroma that doesn’t quite convince me. The quality is undeniable, but it smells of burnt palo santo: smoky, balsamic, and peppery. It’s linear, potent upon application, with good longevity and moderate trail/projection. As always, it’s a matter of taste. I prefer Hamdani, Oud Imperial, or Interlude; they are powerful and rich, whereas this isn’t the enigmatic style I’m seeking. Recommended for mature, formal men aged 30 and above. If you’ve stepped into an esoteric shop with incense and strange potions, this is very close to that vibe. Scent 5/10, Trail 8/10, Projection 7/10, Longevity 7.5/10.

Fortunately, I came across this little gem casually, knowing nothing about it, but if you get the chance to try it, why pass it up? The result was a surprise: a mysterious and attractive fragrance, balsamic and woody with a sensual sweet touch. What stands out most is the Peru balsam, which creates an intense and unexpected olfactory explosion at the start, something few have experienced. It begins with a sweet and dark scent, avianilla ochre tones passing through bitter chocolate and licorice until reaching raisins, reminiscent of Pedro Ximénez wines. Shortly after, the perfume brightens as the mixture with labdanum balances, resulting in a creamier and velvety texture, like a sweet and warm caress on the skin. As it dries, its woody character awakens without losing the initial balsamic presence; in fact, the woods stay in the background, with guaiac being the chosen one that combines brilliantly with everything, and the oud note is barely noticeable, which is an advantage for me. It’s one of my most satisfying purchases; I always need to bring it close to my nose, and the feeling is always the same: surprise, pleasure, and intrigue. The performance is also good, lasting many hours and leaving a long trail for your surroundings to notice. There’s only one thing left to say: it’s a magnificent perfume, and I’m going to hold a special affection for it.

Then the perfume brightens as it balances with labdanum, becoming creamy and velvety, like a warm caress on the skin. As it dries, its woody character awakens without losing that initial balsamic presence; the woods, especially the guaiac, stay in the background combining brilliantly, and the oud note is barely noticeable, which is a plus for me.
