I initially hated this fragrance, but over time I’ve grown to love it. It has a citrus opening, but that underlying amber note completely changes the game. It’s musky and earthy. After wearing it several times, the amber stopped bothering me and turned into pure elegance, elevating the style beyond just being a summery citrus and marine scent. Now I adore it for going out on hot days to feel elegant. The longevity is short, so if I’d bought it myself I’d have been disappointed, but as a gift, I use the spray without guilt.
It’s a daytime fragrance, luminous and easy to wear. The essences are top-notch (typical of Byredo), with citrus notes sweetened by amber that gives it a creamy touch. It performs well for what it is and smells like hydrated skin with a citrus lotion, not sea breeze. I love it; it’s unisex and perfect for work with jeans or blouses, or for daily errands. It lifts the mood and doesn’t veer into vulgarity. I would have preferred more presence, but it is subtle and shy. Ideal for those who don’t like heavy oriental scents or sharp cypress notes.
