What a beauty! Exquisite, twee, photorealistic and tempting… it’s one of those rose perfumes that truly smell of rose, especially that young rose just budding and not yet fully opened. Byredo has done a great job here. Unlike the dusty, crystalline roses of Marly, this one is natural, innocent, kind and with a touch of acidity. The surprise is greater at the start (the achieved scent), though the heart and dry-down become a bit more generic, like an expensive body wash, super comfortable to wear. It dries down to a citrusy-fruity note like Garnier gel or with a creamy touch that I love. It’s a coquettish, extremely girlie scent with that authentic, springtime, pristine touch so often missing in many formulations of this flower. Well done, Byredo.

The surprise lies in the opening (the achieved scent), before fading into a more generic dry-down, like an expensive body wash—super comfortable to wear. Dry, it becomes citrusy-fruity, reminiscent of that Garnier gel or that indulgent cream I adore. I knew Byredo’s Pulp and Influorescence, but I tried Young Rose; I loved it immensely and bought the 50ml to test it further. It’s feminine, enveloping and leaves a mark; many ask me what perfume I’m wearing because it smells so delicious. I know I have a good pH, which also helps, but I never would have guessed or expected to coincide with such olfactive notes.
I already owned Pulp and Influencesence from Byredo, but I tried Young Rose and it hooked me instantly. I bought the 50ml to continue testing. It’s super feminine, enveloping and leaves a mark; I’ve been asked by many what perfume I’m using because it smells so rich. I know I have a good pH and that helps too, but I never imagined it would match those olfactive notes.
