This is a niche that smells like a niche and has its own personality; the more I use it, the more I get hooked. A distinctive and addictive scent that steers clear of that aura of cheap Arab perfumes with synthetic oud that’s so trendy. It’s fruity, floral, and woody, though the fruitiness doesn’t smell like apple but rather a mix of very ripe tropical fruits. The real magic comes in the dry-down: the fruity presence fades and it transforms into something slightly sweet and very warm. On my skin, it smells like suede, I suppose due to the prominent violet, with that powdery, clean, cosy, and enveloping sensation, full of nuances where the jasmine and the suede-tonka-caramel combo stand out. I really like it. Completely unisex and I’d say perfect for spring and autumn.
Given the notes described on this platform, I’m surprised it’s so powdery; I expected an airy, effervescent fragrance considering the citrus opening, but on my skin the base notes dominate. It’s a scent that conveys calm, very subdued yet beautiful.
