Samba Kiss is a sweet little treasure that’s hard to come by; my mother gifted it to me years ago, and when I returned to my homeland, I found it amongst my old things. Although the bottle was half-empty and had been open for years, what a surprise! The scent remained intact, which says a lot about it. It smells of mint and vanilla candies, with a very soft floral touch and a warm, spicy dry-down. It’s exactly what young people are looking for now, but the mint gives it that unique twist that sets it apart from the rest. It’s warm, tender, youthful and indulgent, perfect for daytime and informal events. The best part is that you can wear it all year round: it suits cold weather well and doesn’t suffocate in the heat because the mint keeps it fresh. An interesting fact: when I rediscovered it, I was also gifted Britney Spears’ ‘Fantasy Intimate Edition’ (the white bottle), and on smelling it, I realised it’s almost identical. Britney’s is more floral and creamy, perfect for cool days or spring; Samba Kiss is fruitier and more summery, better for the heat, but they share the same DNA. If you like sweet, cheerful perfumes and come across it for sale, even if it’s hard to find, give it a try; you’ll surely love it.
