Wow, this perfume denotes class and distinction… that’s my opinion. Looking for something special, I stumbled upon this marvel and didn’t know it was a bespoke classic; without hesitation, I bought it. I consider it a green Fougère; the perfect combination of its notes triggered a very pleasant scent explosion. With this, you won’t go unnoticed; you smell clean, impeccable, and elegant. It lasts about six hours, then a couple more hours close to the skin but consistently. Women love it, I’ve checked. If you have the chance, buy it; you won’t regret it. The person who sold it to me said it’s hard to find. If you like the classics, old school, and are a fan of Carolina Herrera for Men, this perfume will be your favourite. P.S.: it’s not that it resembles Carolina Herrera, but for me, they go hand in hand or are on the same line.
Wow, this perfume denotes class and distinction… that’s my point of view. Looking for something for a special occasion, I came across this marvel; I didn’t know it was a classic, bespoke, and I didn’t hesitate to buy it. I consider it a green fougère, the perfect combination of its notes at the exact point to trigger a very pleasant scent explosion. With this, you won’t go unnoticed, believe me, you smell clean, impeccable, and elegant. The longevity is about six hours, then a couple more close to the skin but consistent. Women love it, I’ve checked. If you have the opportunity, do it, you won’t regret it. The person who sold it to me told me it’s hard to find. If you’re one of those who likes the classic, old school, and are a fan of Carolina Herrera for men, this perfume will delight you. P.S. it’s not that it resembles Carolina Herrera, but for me it goes hand in hand or is on the same line.
It’s a classic, elegant, distinguished and very refined. Hard to find but worth it, highly recommended; I give it a 10.
It’s a classic, elegant, distinguished, and very fine, hard to find but worth it, highly recommended, I give it a 10.
At first, I noticed soft citrus, herbs, and above all anise which reminded me a lot of Azzaro Pour Homme. After six hours, powdery florals emerged, followed by a long trail of patchouli, cedar, oakmoss, and vanilla. By twelve hours, I could already detect the amber. It’s not surprising it reminds me of Azzaro; they are only seven years apart and share twelve notes. The aniseed touch is very Azzaro, but with other florals instead of lavender and a drier finish due to the cedar and vetiver, making it less sweet than ApH because the amber comes out at the end and it lacks tonka vanilla. My bottle is vintage, coming ‘splash’ without a spray nozzle. It faithfully captures the eighties style with that inspiration from a seventies classic, equally suitable and elegant. It’s formal, for mature tastes, with moderate sillage (it weighs heavily if you overapply) and on my skin it lasted over twelve hours. I think it works for day and night, in mid or cold seasons, avoiding hot summers.
I love it; it’s floral, woody, green, with a touch of anise that makes it super fresh. It looks very distinguished, perfect for the office because it’s not overpowering but elegant, smells clean and rich. It has a classic style without looking old, although perhaps it suits people over 35 better.
It starts with citrus and herbs, but the anise is what stands out most, reminding me a lot of Azzaro Pour Homme. After six hours, the powdery florals give way to a long dry-down of patchouli, cedar, oakmoss, and a bit of vanilla. By twelve hours, the amber is noticeable. It’s not surprising it reminds me of Azzaro, as they are only seven years apart and share twelve notes. The anise touch is very Azzaro, but here there are other florals instead of lavender and a drier finish due to the cedar and vetiver, less sweet than the original because the amber comes out at the end and it doesn’t contain tonka bean. My version is vintage, even coming ‘splash’ without a spray. It faithfully reflects the eighties style with that inspiration from a seventies classic, maintaining the same elegance. It’s a formal fragrance, for mature tastes, with moderate sillage (it weighs if you overdo the amount) and on my skin it lasted more than twelve hours. I think it serves both day and night, for medium or cold seasons, avoiding extreme heat summers.
Hooked on this fragrance: floral, woody, green, aniseed, and super fresh. It looks very distinguished, ideal for the office as it’s not overpowering yet remains elegant; it smells clean and has a classic style without seeming old-fashioned. Perhaps it suits people over 35 better.
I tried it again and confirmed it’s my favourite. I love all its phases: it starts strong and potent, then softens into a masculine and elegant floral, finishing very woody with patchouli, cedar, and a hint of anise. Totally recommended if you like old school; I consider it a masterpiece and the best from the house. It has good longevity and sillage, it’s timeless and perfect for the office, although with a dress shirt due to the elegance it conveys.
This should be called ‘Patrick Bateman’. Old Money.
Clean, refined, classy, mature, and very masculine… it’s a cologne that exudes power and elegance.
Estée Lauder for Men, what a beautiful fragrance. I’m delighted to see it’s still in production in 2024. I bought it a few days ago at Dillard’s in Brownsville, Texas, for $88 and was given a cosmetic case as a gift. The batch code is from March 2024. It’s perfect for the classic formal gentleman, the well-mannered type who are becoming rare but still exist. It suits wonderfully all year round, for work, formal occasions, casual wear, or even going out if that’s your style; why use something modern? Thank you Estée Lauder for continuing to make this classic masculine masterpiece; although today people seek exaggerated and informal fashion, there are still refined men who appreciate the sober and timeless.
Elegant men’s fragrance. For a man who knows what he is and what he wants. For a man who knows how to dress and command respect. A fantastic Fougère.
A fragrance for the elegant man, the one who knows what he wants and how to dress to command respect. A fantastic fougère.
@César24 There isn’t a shred of fougère here; it’s a pure chypre.
