Ajmal begins with Haji Ajmal Ali, who moved from Assam to Bombay in 1951 to enter the oud trade. Over time, the family business became a perfume house with Indian roots and close links to the Gulf.
The catalogue brings together attars, oils and alcohol-based perfumes. Wisal follows a floral, musky line, while Amber Wood takes a more ambered, woody direction. The range also includes fresh, everyday compositions, so Ajmal is not limited to intense oud.
