Hanae Mori opened her first studio in Tokyo in 1951 and presented her first international collection in New York in 1965. In 1977 she inaugurated her own maison on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, becoming the only Asian designer admitted to the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
The perfume division arrived in 1995, when she launched Hanae Mori Fragrance from France. The brand thus maintains a direct relationship between fashion, film dresses and perfumes, with a story that unites the designer's Japanese career and her Parisian period.
