O Boticário was born in 1977 as a small formulation pharmacy run by Miguel Krigsner in Curitiba, Brazil. The first perfume arrived soon and was presented in a bottle shaped like an amphora, which the brand keeps as a symbol. Its perfumery grew along with the business and today covers eau de parfum, deodorant cologne and body splash, with lines for women, men, children and shared use.
Malbec is one of its main masculine references and stands out for the use of wine alcohol macerated in French oak barrels. Lily represents another side: a floral line whose development starts from an adaptation of the enfleurage technique. With these two families, O Boticário combines a Brazilian perfumery of mass distribution with processes and formats closely linked to its own history.
