The opening is bright, sparkling citrus; it reminded me quite a bit of Xerjoff NIO but feels more refined, special and original thanks to that prominent, exquisite rosemary note. As it dries down, it becomes spicier, with cardamomo shining in all its glory, completely winning me over, giving way to a base reminiscent of the classic Terre d’Hermes with its radiant vetiver. Overall, it’s for those who appreciate fougères, old school and aromatic scents, yet nothing about it feels vintage or dated. It’s a thoroughly modern, vibrant and evolving fougère. As a lover of classics like Loewe Esencia, Eau Sauvage or the original Paco Rabanne, I consider YVRA 1991 a leap from these perfumes into something niche, high quality, refined and timeless.
