212 Men Aqua is the latest version of the many flankers of the classic 212 by CH. This new version retains much of the DNA of the original, adapting it to the new times. From the first minutes, it is noticeable that it is less herbal and more citrusy and aquatic than the original version. The notes that gave that freshly cut grass sensation to the classic 212 are still there, but more subtle, playing a secondary role. In its final phase, it is perceived as slightly sweeter, with a soft woody and musky aroma. While I do not consider it a must-have, I think it is a good version for summer, especially for fans of the original 212, as they will find a contemporary 212 without losing its identity. The bottle maintains the style and the magnetised cap, now in white. On my skin, it lasted about eight hours and maintained its presence.

The freshly cut grass note from the original is still there but subtler, now secondary. Towards the end, there’s a sweetness with soft wood and musk. It’s not essential, but it’s ideal for summer, especially for fans of the original looking for a contemporary version without losing its identity. I tried it yesterday and it reminded me too much of Light Blue pour Homme.
A fragrance where citrus takes the lead in the first part before moving to an aquatic phase. It is good, refreshing for the day and summer, very sporty. The only flaw is that, like most of this type, it does not tend to last long on the skin.

It’s the same as the classic 212, except the Aqua version has seawater, ambroxan, and citrus, but it’s weak in longevity and projection. It smells more synthetic than the classic 212. If you can get it for $40, it’s worth it; I don’t think it’s worth more than $50. Only for heat and day; I expected much more. I’d give it a 6.8.

Very good and fresh aroma, which reminded me greatly of Light Blue pour Homme. As for the resemblance to the classic 212, it is very slight; the green notes and that freshly cut grass smell of the original are almost non-existent here, feeling more aquatic and citrusy. The opening is very citrusy and pleasant, but as it dries, the ambroxan becomes much more prominent, not as strong as in Sauvage but noticeable. I do not recommend it because, although the aroma is very good, it is very faint, almost close to the skin, with no longevity and practically no trail. Even with over-application (8 to 10 sprays), it does not project. On my skin, it does not last more than three hours and disappears afterwards. I own several perfumes from the Cuban house that cost ten times less and last longer with a better trail. Unfortunately, it was a blind purchase. I give it a 5 out of 10 solely for the aroma. Very disappointed, as I had high expectations for Carolina Herrera, which usually have good longevity and projection.
Very good and fresh scent, reminded me a lot of Light Blue pour Homme. The resemblance to the classic 212 is minimal; the green notes and that grassy smell of the original are almost non-existent, here the aquatic and citrus notes dominate. The opening is very citrusy and pleasant, and as it dries down, the ambroxan is noticeable, not as strong as in Sauvage but present. I wouldn’t recommend it because, although it smells good, it’s very faint, almost skin-scent only, with no longevity or sillage. Even with over-application (8 to 10 sprays), it doesn’t project. On my skin, it doesn’t last more than 3 hours and disappears afterwards. I own perfumes from the Cuban house that cost ten times less and last longer with better sillage. It was a blind buy; unfortunately, I couldn’t verify even the minimum longevity and projection. I’d give it 5 out of 10 just for the scent. Very disappointed, I expected better longevity and projection from Carolina Herrera.
Truly a mediocre perfume. Medium-to-low longevity (not Morillas’ best), with a fresh/metallic aroma. I found the projection to be deficient; this perfume stays put, lacking that power and drive to go further. In a race, it finished third and never made it to fourth or fifth place.

A beautiful fragrance, ideal for a relaxed weekend, for applying after a shower, or to enjoy outdoors. It smells very well but lacks the performance of a regular cologne. My husband uses aerosol deodorants with greater fixation, evolution, and trail than this 212 Men Aqua. Fresh and deliberately aquatic, its scent could transport you to a slightly sunny spring-summer day near the water, but it falls short; it leaves you stranded halfway through that daydream. Surprisingly, the quality of the bottle is high, considering the poor performance of the contents (a beautiful metal bottle with a strong magnet in the cap). In terms of price-to-quality ratio, it is definitely not worth repurchasing.
I bought it for my father, and regarding longevity, it is not bad, though more on the medium side. The projection on him is also medium, although it fades quickly over time. The opening is rich, but I am not sure whether it is the ambroxan or a base note that causes a slightly alcoholic scent on my nose when it dries on the skin.
A brilliant fragrance, classic and elegant but fleeting. The projection is very good for the first two and a half to three hours, and the longevity, averaging around five hours, is very good for its style. Beware of those who claim it doesn’t last longer than a cologne; take care, they have likely been sold a clone or a refilled bottle.
I picked this up in July from my trusted retailer and, honestly, I absolutely love it. I still have it today, and with time, it has only improved. It opens with the DNA of the original 212 from 1999 mixed with a punch of marine notes that are immediately noticeable and smell fresh; it projects strongly for about half an hour. In the heart, you can detect ambroxan and cardamomo accompanied by that persistent marine note that lingers for almost the entire life of the fragrance. At the base, musk, sandalwood, and that omnipresent marine note bring the eight-hour journey to a close, starting strong and fading down to sit close to the skin. If you wear it on clothes, it lasts even longer—at least a day. A round of applause to Alberto Morillas, the king of fresh scents, for emulating that sublime smell of seaweed and sea water so well. It doesn’t just smell good; it garners many compliments. I feel fortunate and recommend buying it without hesitation if you can find it at a good price, as it is a limited edition from 2017 and is well worth it. Best regards!
212 Men Aqua: I got it in July from my trusted distributor; honestly, I love it, and I still have it today, and it has improved with time. It starts with a large part of the 1999 212 DNA mixed with a hit of marine notes, very fresh and projecting strongly for the first half-hour. In the heart, you can detect the ambroxan and cardamom accompanied by the persistent marine note that lasts almost the entire life. At the base, you feel the musk, sandalwood, and that omnipresent marine note, closing an olfactory journey of 8 hours. It projects strongly for the first two hours, then gradually fades until it becomes a skin scent. I must highlight Mr Alberto Morillas, the king of fresh scents, for the precision in emulating the marine note, that smell of seaweed mixed with seawater, truly sublime. It doesn’t just smell good; it earns compliments. I feel fortunate to own it and recommend buying it if you can find it at a good price; it’s a limited edition from 2017 and is well worth it. Best regards.
