Light Blue Pour Homme Eau de Parfum by Dolce&Gabbana

What a great fragrance. Super pleasant and lively. I have it noted for future purchases. In fact, although I’ve been immersed in Arabic fragrances for years, I’m starting to return to designer fragrances. Kenzo Homme EDT Intense is on the way, which I already wanted. Also 2 more designer fragrances. But definitely, Light Blue Pour Homme EDP will be part of my collection, yes or yes.

This perfume was to smell it and buy it automatically, it’s a delight for my taste. My new signature perfume.

Recently they sent me, amongst others, a sample of this perfume. I gave it to my husband. Yesterday he used it in the afternoon, and when night came (4 hours had passed since he applied it) he left a trail as he passed that caught my attention. Today, 22 hours later, the perfume can still be clearly smelt on his neck. I was surprised by its longevity and projection for a mainly citrus perfume. I don’t know if this is affected in another season, because we are now in winter. But it is remarkable in that sense.

I’m surprised by the hate that Dolce & Gabbana always receives, nothing pleases them and they find a ‘but’ in all of them, but of course, since it’s not the Arabic novelty… Designer, in my opinion this brand has the best perfumes, they have one for every occasion. The line The One, the Pour Homme, Light Blue and even the K line. All of them get a lot of hate. Then Mandarin Sky or 9PM are a 10/10 😌

A modernised Light Blue and loaded with Ambroxan, as the plague likes it, that lasts and makes itself felt. Otherwise, a scent for beginners and customers who let themselves be caught by department store saleswomen. Nothing new under the sun, even so, I think it’s fine. I like Summer Vibes more, it seems more Italian and more gentleman playing golf.

Light Blue Eau de Parfum (EDP) is a citrus, woody, and aromatic fragrance. It has a very citrusy opening of grapefruit, which vaguely reminds of the limited edition Italian Love, but this one adds woody and aromatic notes of cypress and juniper, as they had already handled in the Summer Vibes version. It also maintains the salty marine notes, but now they are less intense, until settling into a very pleasant base of patchouli and cedar. This new Light Blue version is less summery, but that’s because it’s now more versatile, it’s still suitable for summer, but could be used in any season, although mainly for daytime activities, casual outings, beach outings, etc. Its longevity on me was very good, lasting almost 10 hours, and with a noticeable sillage during the first two. Besides reminding me a bit of Italian Love and more of Summer Vibes, it also has a vibe very close to the YSL Y line. I invite you to try this fragrance and share your points of view.

Hello, I’ve tried the fragrance already twice and honestly neither time convinced me no matter how hard I tried. It smells extremely different on skin than on paper. On paper, the citrus, aromatic, and marine notes stand out, a real perfume if you ask me, but… On skin, it’s disastrous. At least in my case, at the opening a very bitter citrus stands out, and then it smells like a mixture of sweat, incense, and ambroxan that smells awful. I highly recommend smelling it on your own skin first.

One of my bets for summer 2026, and just released. Bitter citrus + cypress + ambroxan. It’s like Y edt and D&G Italian Love had a child. It has charm, little. It’s generic, a lot. Quite linear. Expensive, 79 euros for 100ml. It lasts quite a while and makes itself known. It’s one of those scents that clicked in my head and I love it. (the same thing that happened to me with Y edt back in the day) For me it’s a 7/10

D&G arrives late to the party, a scent we’ve already had more than enough of for at least 8 years. I only tried it when they put it on me at the department store, but it does smell 80% like Y by YSL, only with a lot of ambroxan and something marine. Note, I smelt it on paper, but from the comments I see, like all D&G, on skin it could be an Armageddon. Obviously it smells good on paper, the citrus stands out, somewhat synthetic but very unique and pleasant, but what I can’t stand anymore is one more fragrance with cardamom, with so many notes and they put cardamom again. Anyway, I think Y remains a safer bet, especially for performance, both cost the same.
