  1. I had high expectations for the whole collection because, among other things, J.C Ellena is one of my favourite perfumers, but I was left a bit underwhelmed. Among other reasons because performance is pretty weak. In perfumery, few fragrances manage to modernise a fougère successfully while keeping its classic, masculine essence and timeless charm. This water has the same essence as the original but much more diluted, especially in the most old-school notes like pine, to make it more suitable for everyone. I see a clear loss of personality and terrible performance which, together with its niche price, forces me to rule out buying a large bottle. A shame, for the price there are better options like Victrix by Profumum Roma where fougère fragrance lovers will find the perfect fit.
