I bought it on promotion, 200ml for $57 USD, which is very cheap here in Argentina. I received a November 2024 batch and the performance is TERRIBLE: lasts a maximum of an hour and a half on skin, weak projection for the first 15 minutes, and the evolution was a disappointment. On the opening, it smells like lemon air freshener or floor cleaner; that’s all; the rest of the notes are almost imperceptible. I knew the line had low performance, but I never imagined it would be so bad, even atomised on a blotter and it was gone after two hours. Really not worth it, not even for clothes. If you’re looking for a fresh summer scent, I 100% recommend Jean Lowe Immortel: it lasts, projects, and makes itself felt, with a sharp citrus opening, ginger, and a spectacular amber base.
I think alongside Cool Water, this will be my office perfume this summer; it’s so charismatic. It just arrived and I thought it would be lighter compared to the Dior Cologne, which feels very little, but since I atomised it on my hand, the scent comes through and the cedar is the protagonist. You can smell the mint from afar to give freshness. It doesn’t seem right for young people; it has a very marked, adult character. I’ll keep testing it to judge its longevity and sillage, but at £25, it was an excellent purchase. Updating after using it for a couple of days: I won’t use it for the office, perhaps for the gym or at home, because it projects and lasts nothing. I sprayed 15 times and can’t smell it; it’s not olfactory fatigue. Fortunately, it cost me that little because, ultimately, I won’t buy it again.
I entered this world because of this perfume. The grapefruit and cedar scent is really strong. It’s one of my most praised and simple perfumes. It’s easy to wear and very unlikely that anyone won’t like it.
I loved it 😍, ideal for heat; the opening smells like lemonade, I detect lime, lemon, and slightly mandarin. The dry-down leaves a woody amber scent with a slight floral touch, with ingredients of very good quality. Longevity is about six hours up close and projection is moderate for around an hour; when I use it, I reapply because I adore the opening. I feel it suits mature men, over 35. I’ve heard it’s inspired by Dior Homme Cologne, yes, Citrus Cedro delighted me; I can’t imagine the other one with better ingredient quality. I recommend it widely. P.S. It was a blind buy and I have no regrets; I was pleasantly surprised.
Pungent citrus at the start which later becomes slightly sweet and combines splendidly with woods. A rich fragrance, although its best part is the dry-down. At first, it can seem like bergamot or lime at full blast, but the dry-down makes it its own. As a citrus, it has low sillage and projection, but good performance on skin. Buying the bottle, the wood notes stand out alongside lemon and salinity in the dry-down, making it fresh yet somewhat dark.
It’s in the same vein as Dior Homme Cologne, which I tried and loved. AD Citrus-Cedro is daytime and summery, ideal for the pool and beach. On the opening, there’s a bright, sparkling lemon that almost everyone likes. To my surprise, I like the dry-down even more. It’s true that it projects little when dry, but it lasts longer than expected and leaves a creamy, woody, very pleasant scent. I sprayed it on my hand last night and could still smell it the next day. That said, without projecting much. I bought the 120ml bottle for around £25. Excellent purchase. In terms of quality/price, it could be one of the best on the market. One of the few I’d recommend blindly without hesitation.
Starts as a strong spiced citrus, then reveals tones of cedar and a touch of amber. It’s very pleasant, but after three or four hours, it disappears even up close. Given the price here, I wouldn’t consider it my first choice (£26 for 120ml).
A refreshing and energising delight. The longevity is very poor, but for the price, it’s worth it. I use it for the gym and it’s perfect for the heat.
Starts with a clean, sparkling burst of grapefruit, softened by the green freshness of verbena; it’s like walking through wet fields after rain: energetic and natural. The citrus notes dominate without aggression, offering an almost therapeutic purity. Then, the spiced heart with ginger and pink pepper adds warmth without losing lightness. As it dries, cedar takes over with a dry, woody base, anchored by a soft, musky amber that balances freshness and depth. It conveys sobriety and respect for nature, ideal for a modern man who values discretion with identity. Perfect for everyday life where clarity without excess is needed. Olfactorily, it reminds me of the introspective cleanliness of Arvo Pärt or the structured lightness of Bill Evans. If it were a colour, it would be a wet greenish grey, like moss by a stream: natural, serene, and vital.
Top summer pick and incredibly cheap.
A perfect EDT for a quiet summer morning. A clean citrus, very natural and appealing. Basically, it’s a glass of grapefruit juice that fell on you, but done well. It seems to last little because it doesn’t project, but it holds up quite well on the skin for about 6-7 hours. Projection doesn’t last more than two hours. For personal enjoyment. The mint refreshes that citrus sensation more, and I don’t perceive the amber mentioned. Totally daytime, more for morning than afternoon. I’ve only used it in the heat and suppose the cold would neutralise it quickly. Easy buy for quality and price.
It resembles Dior Homme Cologne but isn’t the same. It doesn’t give that sense of luxury that Dior does, in my opinion. Nor can you expect much for the price; I think you get what you pay for, or even a little more.
Indeed, at first it smells very similar to Dior Homme Cologne; the grapefruit recalls the grapefruit blossom of DHC. However, there are differences: 1) The grapefruit blossom in DHC is more elegant and subtle, reinforcing the freshness of its incredible Calabria bergamot, which Citrus Cedro lacks. 2) The sense of cleanliness in DHC, with its three official notes, offers freshness and a personal comfort that Citrus Cedro does not provide. Citrus Cedro is good, but it leans towards a darker, more aromatic side, rich in nuances, at the cost of losing those distinctions. 3) The price is much better in Citrus Cedro, making it an ideal substitute for DHCologne by money and occasion, as it is more ‘battling’ than Dior’s work of art.
Citrus Cedro is citrusy with grapefruit. It smells like lemon and freshness, akin to cleanliness after a shower. As it dries, it gains shape with woods that blend brilliantly with the citrus. In EDT form, it lasts 3-5 hours on my skin with a light trail that fades quickly into the personal bubble. Perhaps it lacks performance, but it’s forgiven for the price and the need for reatomisation. It has become my fresh post-shower option, perfect for mornings and hot summers or spring. Ideal for the office in summer.
Citrus and sweet opening, then it becomes more woody with the cedar as it dries. The chords are very well ordered. A definite blind buy. It doesn’t project much but lasts quite a while on clothes and a bit less on the skin, depending on your pH. It smells much more expensive than it is.
The opening is a clean citrus, slightly sharp and balanced; without excesses or artifices, it seeks naturalness rather than power or extravagance. The best part is its evolution: instead of becoming soapy or musky, the grapefruit, ginger, mint, and pink pepper maintain a reasonable time, supported by a dry cedar base. As it dries, it leaves a personal aura, fresh, masculine, and with identity, projecting presence without invading. It has no surprising twists but delivers what it offers with coherence. Perfect as a daily summer signature: sober, elegant, functional, and versatile. For the price, an option to keep in mind.
Smells very similar to Dior Homme Cologne.
Very rich. For the price, it has tremendous and spectacular olfactory quality. It’s a super good lemon. Could be a blind buy without a doubt. Who doesn’t like smelling clean, with a pleasant lemon and a woody base?
Hello gentlemen, I’ve been reading for years that it resembles the Dior Homme Cologne and it’s true. But I tried the Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne and it’s spot on to that, I didn’t believe it, I thought my nose was failing. My wife, who loves the Citrus Cedro, told me when I left: Have you put on Citrus Cedro? Tried and commented on it. They also say it doesn’t last anything, I’ve been wearing it every day this week. I put it on at 08:00 and at 13:30 I still feel it perfectly, it lasts 8 hours. If you put it on clothes, even more. This Agua Fresca is great. Greetings.
Top notes are spot on, incredible value, and smells like Antonio Banderas’ Mediterranean but without the burn, lasting longer. The notes are superior and it’s pure freshness; putting it on gives an immediate sense of comfort. Highly recommended, it’s now one of my favourites.
I’ve been with this perfume for a while. Clean and refreshing scent perfect for the heat, but it almost doesn’t project. It feels very clean and fresh, I perceive the bergamot well with grapefruit and a clean part. It doesn’t feel synthetic, it’s perfect for the day and to inject energy. The negative point is that on me it doesn’t project much and leaves little trail. If it projected more it would be perfect.
The blend of notes and their harmony are excellent for the price. Longevity isn’t its strong suit, with moderate projection lasting only the first hour. Is it worth it? Yes, if you view it as an indulgence for your own senses rather than for others. I recommend buying a decant to reapply every two hours.
My June 2024 review: I like it, it’s a good spicy lime-lemon perfume with good performance. The problem: in Buenos Aires the 120 ml rounds to about 45 USD. Today I found it next to the deodorant for 30 USD. That price seems correct for what it offers.
Absolutely beautiful. Although many compare it to Dior Homme Cologne, they are not alike; each has its own nature. Both have a citrus opening that dries down to white musk, amber and cedar. It gives much appreciated freshness in the heat; you can buy it blind because it’s not invasive and everyone likes it. Perfect for school or work.
I totally agree with the previous review, stunning fragrance for summer c:
I wore it with a guy I was with. It doesn’t stand out among people, but at close range it captivates. And to top it off, it smells like Ramón Monegal. I fell in love with the perfume; I thought it was very masculine, those kinds that dilate your pupils. One day I put on his shirt and the magic happened, I loved it, I put it on my skin and made it mine. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but for me it’s not masculine: it’s elegant, fresh, woody, a little dark due to the wood. In love.
There are perfumes that truly enchant. Agua Fresca Citrus Cedro was love at first breath. From the start, the citrus freshness wrapped around me naturally, without artifice. Bergamot and lemon open with clean energy, while the cedar gives firmness and elegance. It doesn’t shout, it whispers close; it works at short distances, intimate and hypnotic. Perfect balance between purity and character, ideal for sunny days or quiet encounters. Moderate longevity but it lingers on skin and memory. Honest, serene and authentic; it doesn’t seek to impress but captivates.
Super fresh and citrusy eau de toilette, like squeezing lemons, oranges and sour limes with a well-balanced cedar base. If you like things clean and crisp, it’s perfect after a shower to feel a bit of a cool breeze. Goes great on sunny days or for training if it’s cool and dry. It doesn’t project much, but if people come close they smell sophisticated and mature, ideal for the 20-27 age range. It’s serene, calm, not overwhelming; to enjoy and feel at peace.
Ideal for spring and summer daytime. Although it resembles the Dior Homme Cologne, each shines on its own. Here the citrus dominate with ginger and mint. It is citrusy, but also refreshing and clean thanks to the white musk, with woods only for longevity. It’s carefree, perfect for everyday wear. In Mexico it can be found at a good price, so the quality-price ratio is magnificent.
What a find! It opens with a brutally fresh and bitter white grapefruit, blending with ginger for an effervescent touch. Then comes the musk, mint and lemon verbena, very green and fougère. As it dries, the cedar and pepper give it a masculine presence, with a touch of sweet amber. It’s a 95% dupe of the Dior Homme Cologne 2013, but the DHC is more citrusy and this one more woody. It wins on longevity: lasts about six hours with a good trail. Ideal for heat, daytime use in the office or gym; fresh, dynamic and elegant without being intrusive.
Hello friends, I was looking for a perfume that resembled Dior Homme Sport 2017 very closely… and I must say it’s the closest one I’ve found. It’s an elegant citrus, slightly sweet, that warms you up for about 5 hours. For its price, it’s spectacular!!
A charming, rich, and citrusy fragrance, yet not acidic. I’d describe it as a sugared lemon: not sweet, but a very pleasant, digestible, and kind citrus that is super delicious. I stopped using it as I’m now looking for more winter-appropriate scents, but it has excellent longevity; for me, it projects well for about 3 hours and lasts around 6 hours on the skin. I highly recommend it; it’s a super safe blind buy.
Well-made product, but what perfume? PER FU MÓN… It is accessible and enjoyable for both the wearer and those around them. If I had to define it, it’s HONEST: it tells you straight away that it’s a citrus that hits you hard, like that strict stepfather who gets angry because his little mouth won again and won’t lift his head… but that little lemon is accompanied by a kind woody fragrance that after 2 or 3 hours starts saying, ‘hey, chum, here I am, I came to this party too’. A great buy for the summer, it doesn’t tire, it refreshes… It’s the favourite of the matriarch, she loves it, it chases me and desires me; the love it gives me sometimes makes me think she likes the perfume more than me, it makes me jealous, stupid and sensual, Adolfo Domínguez.
Another fragrance from the Adolfo Domínguez house with a great olfactive profile. It isn’t innovative, but it does it excellently given the price and ingredient quality. For me, it opens fresh, as its name suggests, with cedar and a slightly sweet citrus touch that settles down as the hours pass. It’s a fulfilling fragrance; you can’t go wrong; it smells like a clean man fresh from a shower, similar to Dior Homme Sport but with slightly less longevity. The trail is moderate for the first 2 hours and then it sticks to the skin. If you find it for under £28 (about $60), it’s a good buy; above that, you’re paying too much for the longevity and quality. For me, it lasts about 5-6 hours on the skin with moderate projection for 2 hours. Good for daily wear, work, and the gym, but it won’t be a magnet for compliments due to its clean masculine scent; there are better options like Prada L’Homme or Loewe Esencia. It works very well in warm and temperate climates and is very versatile. Longevity 2.5/5, Sillage 2/5, Compliments 1/5, Price 4/5.
It’s like running into my beloved Dior Sport 2017 again! A vibrant, fresh citrus scent without being overpowering, with a subtle sweet touch. Elegant and a blind buy if you enjoy citrus and elegant fragrances. Suitable for any occasion, but it really shines in summer and spring. Lasts about 4 or 5 hours on the skin, but if you apply it to your clothes too, it performs much better and lasts over 7 hours. 120ml for around £25.
Excellent fragrance for summer. Performance is a bit scarce, but for the price it’s fine. It has 95% similarity to Dior Homme Cologne.
Hello, the last time I picked up Adolfo Domínguez’s Citrus Cedro was for around £20 for 120ml online during a sale (it usually costs double). Not my first time. With this quality-to-price ratio, it’s an excellent purchase. The aroma is super Mediterranean, reminding me of whitewashed cottages near the sea, sitting in the shade of a lemon tree. It’s a fragrance that conveys peace, not seeking compliments but making you feel good. Others always like it; it’s a profile that generally pleases everyone. In summer, during the day, it’s an EDT I use a lot. It also mixes brilliantly with another perfume in the evening. On skin (dry, in my case) it lasts a maximum of four hours, on clothes up to seven. Regarding supposed similarities with Dior fragrances… it doesn’t have any. Sharing ingredients doesn’t make them similar. Don’t let hype sway you; buy with your head. Would I recommend it? Yes. It’s one of those fragrances I always like to keep in my collection for its versatility and the peace it brings. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
It’s a beast – smells super clean and fresh, elegant yet relaxing at the same time, perfect for hot days. Longevity isn’t its strong point, but the trail is brutal. For the price, it’s a steal; I’d definitely buy it again.
The trail is very faint; it smells more like an air freshener or laundry, but the scent itself is rich and my girlfriend has a soft spot for it.
Better than Kenzo Marine or L’eau d’Issey; I used it a lot at uni. I was puzzled why I always chose Citrus Cedro until I finished the bottle: it calms anger, lifts the mood and makes people trust you more, as if they’ve discovered something new in you. Warning: don’t buy the ‘fresh water’ version in italics; it performs poorly. The one in capitals is different; with the heat it activates and after five hours it’s still there. Good trail. I wouldn’t buy it again as it’s from a bygone era, but it will live in my mind forever.
