  • Rubbish, it doesn’t last anything, but nothing. After an hour, you have to track it down with a bloodhound up close. It’s an experience repeated with other Chanel fragrances. Not recommended.

I agree with Julián’s review. My 2022 batch performs phenomenally. After six hours, it still releases bursts of that creamy base from the tonka bean and musk, enchanting. That base remains until ten hours or more. It doesn’t project like a beast after the first two hours, but up close it is felt and is spectacular. I see it as a daytime fragrance, with elegance à la Chanel. For the night, I’d use something else, but on a warm evening, it works very well, preferably in formal situations. It’s super versatile and won’t leave you looking out of place. I recommend trying it to see its performance on your skin.

  • I’m here to defend this work of art. July 2022 batch: nine or ten hours, still on the skin. Two hours of good projection and another three or four of bursts. On clothes, it lasts days. Those commenting below either bought fakes or have crocodile skin. Don’t rule out damaged pituitary glands. Leaving that aside, I can’t speak less than wonders. What a charming scent! An aromatic woody-tonka combo, fresh from the mint and creamy from the sandalwood. It’s as if they took Le Male and transformed it into a more refined, high-class version. Versatile beyond measure and capable of making you look good at a wedding or buying bread in the supermarket. Conclusion: 10/10.

I loved it years ago: fresh and invigorating opening, very wearable and versatile. It was my number one for a long time. I feel the tonka bean more than in any other fragrance. But when I bought my second bottle, it became oppressive. The mint was too invasive in the heat, and the musky part no longer came through. The performance dropped. A colleague told me I smelled like garden insecticide, perhaps due to the mint and mandarin. Since then, I reduced usage and saved half a bottle. I barely even see the letters on the bottle anymore and use it as a car freshener in summer. For me, its time has passed, although many consider it timeless. What I do love today is the Blanche Edition, a meringue/vanilla scent with lemon and a touch of pink pepper, ideal even for heat. It’s hard to find, and I fear they’ve reformulated it too.

  • Erik el Rojo

Wonderful perfume. It opens citrusy and fresh, very similar to Versace Pour Homme, but then turns sexy and creamy. It’s incredible; I always get compliments from women. I recommend at least eight sprays. It’s super versatile for any occasion. Just one detail: it doesn’t last long, maximum four hours of projection. But with a couple more sprays, this gem gets a boost.

  • One of the best fragrances I’ve tried, without a doubt. Just wear it and feel good instantly. On my skin, it lasts four hours projecting well and another two or three with less intensity. It’s one of the few where I don’t mind the performance too much because I enjoy its scent so much. It has generated many compliments, especially from girls. It’s delicious, with normal performance and unique versatility.

  • Disappointing. From the outset, it smells of hand soap, and I still think so. Although it is vanilla, if you get used to it, it’s not too bothersome, but to others it screams ‘you smell like soap’. The tonka bean fascinated me, but ignoring the longevity was a mistake. It lasts two hours on the skin before turning into soap. On clothes, it reaches eight hours. The problem is that overpowering soapy scent; it’s neither sexy nor appealing. It projects beastily for the first hour, then bye. The 2016 batch was better. Final score 6/10.

It’s lovely, but don’t go crazy over it. The EDT version does bring compliments and is lighter, sweeter, and better balanced. I like it, but I’ve never received praise with this one. With the EDT, yes. The difference is noticeable. Scent: 7/10, Projection: 6/10, Longevity: 5/10.

  • Batch 2023 reformulated and disappointing: it projects nothing and doesn’t last, barely four hours. They overdid the tonka bean; better suited for car freshener than on the skin 😡

  • I never understood this perfume, but now that it is reformulated I find it to be a true scam. Talc-y opening without personality and a generic scent that projects nothing and evaporates before an hour… a true fraud by the Chanel house, especially due to its high cost. Allure Sport EDT has better performance. The worst is the lack of personality of a supposed fragrance backed by Chanel.

  • Julius Caesar, you are so heavy with that ridiculous way of reviewing. Everything is semi-something (semi-dirty, semi-bright, semi-dark, semi-grandma-on-bicycle) and slightly mentholated, talc-y synthetic but not annoying. Enough said, you are very seen and add nothing. Having said that, the 2015 batch I have lasts its good eight or nine hours projecting well the first two notes beyond a metre and leaves a very good trail. It is a scent that everyone likes; the citrus of the beginning sweeten, with tonka bean and sandalwood becoming very noticeable, turning slightly creamy with a vanilla touch. Very versatile, but better in intermediate seasons. Perhaps a bit too expensive.

  • I bought it blindly due to its high hype, thinking it was a safe purchase because it was Chanel. It is a fresh scent, ideal for summer and very versatile. However, it does not last at all. On my skin it lasts no more than an hour and does not project even at the moment of spraying. A total disappointment. The positive was that after this disappointment I started to discover niche perfumes and I think they are much more worth it. A real pity, as it could have been a tremendous perfume.

  • To be fair, it is not the profile I like most. As of now it may seem a little generic; ten years ago it was more striking. It has a typical citrus-spiced, soapy opening with a marked creaminess that leaves a slightly sweet and pleasant musk as the protagonist. It is extremely versatile, daytime and easy to wear. It is not something I would use to seduce, as the name ‘Allure’ suggests, but rather something fresh, daily and pleasant. In terms of price-quality it is not the most convenient, having Versace Pour Homme or Missoni Wave as very similar and more economical alternatives. Its performance is just, no more than four or five hours, but its first hours project well. Mature, rich and versatile, but you will not lose much if you opt for other options.

  • Citrus opening with mint, tonka bean appears timidly after a few minutes. Timidly at first, because by half an hour that olfactory note completely takes over the composition. In the final phase, barely any sandalwood and musk are perceived. For me, this Eau Extreme is the worst of the Allure line: a unbalanced scent. The best part is the opening; afterwards, it bores me a lot. If you want to know what the tonka bean smells like, here you will identify it clearly because it is too dominant. The quality is there, typical of Chanel, but the performance leaves much to be desired in recent batches. In other Chanel fragrances I would forgive it because the scents drive me mad, but this is not the case. In my humble opinion, the hype surrounding this perfume is far from justified.

  • SpecThunder

I was very keen on it because the chords caught my attention, but I was let down a little. The opening smells very similar to Bleu de Chanel EDP, with mint and citrus notes, which is not surprising. Then comes the dry-down and it turns out to be a vanilla perfume without much substance; you smell it on the street and could confuse it with any vanilla-woody scent like Eros or 212 Sexy. I am not saying they are very similar, but if you smell it on someone else, their trail can remind you of any vanilla fragrance.

  • Antonio Taleno

It smells very rich, definitely a scent that is enchanting. I have tried the regular version and the Eau Extreme and feel that the regular one is slightly better. Both are for daily use and are sure to attract compliments, as proven.

  • Rogg Roch

A fragrance I absolutely love and which generates compliments. It has an exquisite fresh green mentholated opening, followed by a creamy, spiced tonka bean. The musk in the base gives consistency to the tonka bean throughout its entire life. I apply about seven or eight sprays as it does not overpower or feel heavy. I recommend it for dates or outings in intermediate climates.

  • Krystian_o

It is my favourite fragrance; it smells wonderful and is very versatile. I wear it daily, though it is also ideal for dates or special events. Several times I have found that after seven or eight hours I can no longer smell it on myself, but others can, especially on the neck close to the skin. It seems to perform better than it appears.

  • chegadesaudade

It has Chanel quality, which is the soul of the scent. At first, with the mandarin, it smells great and I loved it. Then it becomes very wintry and a bit heavy for me; I wouldn’t wear it in the heat. The tonka bean and musk notes are more prominent than in the original, which I find more versatile. It remains creamy and musky, but that vanilla sensation seems unnecessary and makes it feel warm and wintry rather than all-rounder. That’s why it didn’t win me over and I let it go.

  • I was looking for its counterpart Allure Home Sport but there wasn’t one of that, so they gave me to try this one of which I had heard nothing. At least for me it has a strong citrus and green opening, over time it blends and leans towards vanilla too, mixed with something (I think tonka bean), a very familiar scent because the remainder made me think of other perfumes, deodorants or fragrances that seem to have been used by more people while I’ve been out on the street in the past. Good longevity and projection at least in my case, as I expected, although I expected to try the one that isn’t Xtreme, the truth is I don’t know how similar they are. Good scent but personally it didn’t catch my attention at all.

Total men’s perfume: lemon, fresh, creamy deodorant and masculine. I consider the ‘quality’ aspect to be something for experts; for 99% of people, so many nuances aren’t noticeable in daily life. I have the Alpine Homme Sport by Maison Alhambra and it smells quite similar, perhaps in the dry-down this one notes a ‘expensive’ scent if heard at 5 centimetres from the skin. The aura is very rich, of a serious and mature man in a white shirt. It doesn’t smell like an older person but someone mature in their conduct. I currently use it as a signature scent and it makes me feel very comfortable. It’s quite expensive to be honest; in my case it lasts well (2021 batch) with 5-6 hours showing clearly; in the end it’s a fresh perfume and can’t last as long as dense and sweet ones. I don’t recommend it for the price because you must reapply to last all day. If you want it as a signature, buy this and the Maison Alhambra one. Use this in the morning and carry a decant of the Arabic dupe to reapply. Same DNA and you save money.

  • I recently bought it. Based on the reviews, I took a risk on the longevity and projection, which many say are low. The first time it disappointed me because the scent disappeared completely in an hour; not even pressing my nose to my arm could I feel it. However, I don’t know what happened, but on the 2nd and 3rd time I used it, the longevity was good, over eight hours. Perhaps the projection is indeed low; you have to get very close to feel it. But even after eight hours, I still smell the scent strongly around me. Worth noting that I only use 4-5 sprays and where I live it’s around 30 degrees. Very rich fragrance and recommended for general use.

  • Honestly, the first time I smelled it in a shop, it smelled like nothing… My pH must be very ruined.

  • Kylow Ren

I don’t like it. I think it’s too heavy on the musk and tonka bean; I don’t like the dry-down at all. The original does convince me, being more neutral, clean, more casual and more suitable for hot days.

  • Very good, good performance, good trail and longevity. Classic, sweet, green, aromatic, informal, elegant and musky. A distinctive Chanel fragrance with fresh touches at the start, featuring a sweet Tonka Bean that dominates the dry-down alongside that animalic and wet side. Stays fresh for about an hour, then becomes more musky and sweet due to the coumarin. Lasts 5-6 hours on skin and 24 on clothes. Very elegant.

  • The scent doesn’t win you over at first sniff; it requires several wears to be enjoyed. I bought it as a decant when I first started, and my nose wasn’t familiar with such marked aromas, so it didn’t convince me at first. Over time and with repeated use, I grew to like it and it became one of my favourites. Now I see it as an elegant, masculine and refined scent for a well-dressed man. But since it’s not love at first sight, it’s not easy to enjoy; friends and girlfriends rate it between 5 and 6/10. If you’re looking for compliments, it’s not a good option. Projection and longevity aren’t the best either, so I categorise it as a personal delight: wear it because we like it, not expecting others to love it. To stand out on the street, there are better perfumes. Summary: Scent 9/10 (improves with time), Projection and longevity 7/10, Price 6/10 (expensive for what it performs), Age 20+.

  • Opens with a clean, vibrant citrus, followed by a creamy vanilla that becomes more noticeable as it dries, leaving a sweet and musky base. The trail is short and intimate (under a metre), designed for oneself rather than to impress. In heat, the projection improves without being invasive, except on 35°C+ days where it can become overwhelming. Lasts 10 hours on skin without issues and over 24 on clothes. Versatile year-round, ideal for spring/summer but avoid extreme heat. For informal dinners or daytime outings: white shirt, beige chinos or jeans, clean trainers or loafers. For the office: navy blazer, tieless shirt, grey or camel trousers, derby shoes. For chill evenings: dark t-shirt, light jacket, Chelsea boots or leather sneakers. Perfect for terraces.

  • BrianLBDT14

Good fragrance, classic and quality. Ideal for work or semi-formal events where you want to smell clean and cared for, without being a fresh citrus. I see it for spring or autumn, only if it’s under 23 degrees. If you’re looking for compliments, you’ve chosen the wrong one. It’s a rich scent; I use it gladly for the office.

  • Sangobein

My collection’s favourite. An aroma that is liked and earns compliments. A pity that it’s so expensive.

  • Franco Palmisano

My signature fragrance for fresh indoor climates. The tonka bean is sublime. It’s one of the perfumes that gives me the most pleasure to wear. It’s best suited for short outings; it lacks great projection and longevity, so one might expect more. Beyond that, totally recommended at least to try it.

  • It’s versatile with a clear sweet inclination, but balanced enough to avoid being cloying. Its profile is masculine and distinctive, ideal for daytime or mild climates. In extreme heat, it can become dense, so moderate your application. Its weak point is performance: limited longevity and low projection. Probably the early formulations lasted longer, as is often the case with initial batches.

  • Erik el Rojo

Wonderful, beautiful, and sure to earn many compliments… my third favourite fragrance in my entire collection. I’d recommend about 8 sprays on average, depending on the weather.

  • A fragrance that initially took me some time to get used to; the citrus and aldehydic opening was polarising, and my aversion to sweetness made it feel heavy in the dry-down. It didn’t smell bad, but it didn’t convince me. The hype didn’t help either. I returned to using it much later and it was different, as if each note had been repositioned. I found an elegant, very clean aroma, with moderate aldehydes and tonka bean making it addictive. The sandalwood softens it, giving it body and class. It’s versatile but with character. Seductive in a broad sense, not just sexually. Suitable for any season, except the hottest days, but perfect for evening wear. It’s very Chanel, with that aldehydic touch and sense of quality. I don’t see much resemblance to the original Allure Homme Sport; I see it as the adult, night-time version of Allure Homme Éclat Blanche. Test it first due to the aldehydes. For me, it’s a great perfume; if you like it, it’s essential. High longevity, good projection without being overwhelming. Masculine but current. Excellent.

  • Orleanu Valentin

I understand those who demand more performance, especially when paying a high price. I’ve known this perfume since 2017/2018 and have bought it many times. I know how it works: I’ve had batches from 2015 to 2025. The only one I used 100% was the 2018 batch; I sold the others. With older batches, I was surprised they lasted less than an hour due to poor storage, not because they were fakes. If the batch number doesn’t match between bottle and box, it’s fake. Regarding the 2018 batch’s performance: initially, it lasted 5-6 hours and was noticeable until 7 hours. After 3-4 years, it no longer lasted more than 2 hours, even when stored well. I know there were reformulations and that older batches used to last longer, but in this case, if you don’t use it within 2-3 years, it loses significant properties. It’s not the same as other perfumes where an old batch lasts longer.

  • It’s rare. At first, upon trying it, it seemed quite normal. But with wear… it’s incredible. PERIOD. Versatile beyond measure.

  • Marco Tabollo

On first spray, mandarin and mint dominate with a spicy kick of pepper. As it dries down, the sweet vanillan warmth of tonka bean emerges, alongside that clean, powdery scent of musk and sandalwood. In the dry-down, it remains sweet and vanillan with a powdery finish, topped with a super sexy, addictive mandarin note. On my skin, it lasts 7-10 hours with good projection for the first 3-4 hours. I don’t share the complaints about its poor longevity. It’s wearable all year round and extremely versatile. Without a doubt, one of my favourites.

  • This is my signature and favourite fragrance. I love that mandarin and mint combination which makes it fresh, clean, and slightly soapy. I’m surprised by its versatility despite the ‘sport’ label; it goes equally well with a pressed shirt or a hoodie. Its performance is truly chameleon-like. I believe the age range for wearing it is much broader than most fragrances. The only negatives are the price and the limited longevity. Everything else is an olfactory ode.
