Descripción

Amber Fever by Mancera is an oriental vanilla fragrance from the olfactory family, created for men and women. Launched in 2019, this olfactory composition features a sweet and spiced accord of caramel, whisky, tonka bean, and hazelnut in its top notes. The heart of the fragrance reveals a soft and romantic florality with rose petals, violet, and Indian jasmine, while the base settles on a warm and woody foundation of amber, white musk, teakwood, and oakmoss.

  • I’ve finished a 2ml decant and can’t write a full review yet as I need more time and less cold weather; I used it in winter. Among my 15 Manceras, Amber Fever is the softest. It lacks the projection of Instant Crush, Wild Python, or Velvet Vanilla. Its opening is soft yet firm, very creamy; on skin, sandalwood and almonds stand out, with a hint of rose appearing as it dries. It lasts 6-7 hours close to the skin. It’s for personal enjoyment, super comforting, warm, and different. It feels like a warm hug, like a new mother or a 15-year-old boy fresh from a shower, a mix of innocence and magic. I thought the whisky notes would make it sensual and nocturnal, but it doesn’t! It makes me feel wrapped in warmth and special, so I won’t buy it now, but I won’t rule it out for my personal pleasure.

  • I don’t know which one I got or the one above, but mine lasted 16 hours on skin with huge projection and sillage. The scent is subtle yet fills the whole house, smelling of caramel and amber.

  • I agree with Luisma… I was given a sample and tried it. I’ve had a handkerchief hanging on my door, and after two days, the trail still reaches me when I pass by. Incredible. If this is the least intense from the brand, I’ll have to discover the others. It has left a great impression.

  • This perfume is everything I was looking for in Instant Crush: soft, sweet, and sophisticated. It’s like Baccarat Rouge 540 but more intense, as it can be smelled from yards away and has beastly longevity, lasting even after weeks of washing.

  • Lovely Lady 17

I was stunned: it’s too similar to Mula Mula by Byron Parfums and at half the price. It doesn’t resemble BR540, Instant Crush, or Burberry Her at all. I know all of them and comment on the great similarity I found with that beautiful Mula Mula.

  • Lovely Lady 17

I was left speechless: it bears too much resemblance to Byron Parfums’ Mula Mula and at half the price. It bears no resemblance to the 540, Instant Crush or Burberry Her. I know all of them, which is why I’m commenting on the striking similarity I found with that lovely Mula Mula.

  • Marvellous! I love it; to my nose it’s the feminine and versatile version of the same house’s Instant Crush, which I also adore, but I prefer IC on male skin or for female night wear because it’s a monster in terms of power, trail and fixation. This one is softer, with a medium trail; it would be the shy little brother of IC, and I loved it. NOTE: although its trail is medium, on my skin it lasts 10 hours.

  • Wonderful perfume, cosy, with a sweet and crunchy nutty touch. It’s like a hazelnut liqueur, but it fails in one aspect: an overdose of white musk. Lately, my nose rejects those tonnes of this typical Mancera note. The trail is weaker than its predecessors, but the longevity is high. If, like me, you couldn’t stand Instant Crush (it made me dizzy and nauseous), try this one.

It resembles Mancera’s Precious Oud a little, but this one is sweeter; I believe the caramel note gives it a more intense and feminine smell. It has excellent longevity. It’s ideal for autumn, winter and cool summer evenings. I put it on a handkerchief and can still smell it days later. It’s not gourmand, but it does have a sweet touch. Smells very distinguished and elegant.

I think it’s second on my list of favourite Manceras. It’s a very warm and cosy scent; I perceive hazelnut, whisky, amber, caramel, and the house’s typical musk. At first, it’s a bit alcoholic due to the whisky, but as it dries, it becomes sweeter. It doesn’t seem elegant or sexy to me, more embracing, but magnificent. It lasts about 10 hours with moderate projection.

I think this is my second favourite Mancera. Warm and cosy scent, I detect hazelnut, whisky, amber, caramel and the house’s typical musk. At first, it smells a bit of alcohol (due to the whisky), but as it dries down it becomes sweeter. It doesn’t seem elegant or sexy to me; rather, it’s embracing, yet magnificent. Lasts about 10 hours with moderate projection.

  • It bears no resemblance to Instant Crush, so be careful. It lasts forever; I wore it all day, washed my t-shirt once, and it still smells. On skin, it easily lasts 10 hours. Very, very delicious.

  • It doesn’t resemble Instant Crush at all, beware. It lasts forever, lasting all day and surviving a wash on a t-shirt. On skin, it easily lasts 10 hours. Very, very delicious.

Exquisite fragrance. Unisex with very good longevity, around 14 hours. Fresh, ideal for daytime wear.

  • Incredible perfume! The niche quality of Mancera doesn’t envy the most expensive ones and has enormous longevity. I own BR540 and say it surpasses Fahrenheit in every way. It’s a jewel worth having, even if you don’t have Baccarat.

  • Incredible perfume. Mancera’s niche quality doesn’t envy the most expensive brands, and the longevity is out of this world. I own the 540 and it surpasses Byredo’s 540 in every way. It’s a gem worth having, even if you don’t own the Bacarat.

  • To me, this looks like something Lattafa or Afnan could churn out: a mix of sweet things, amber and roses. Do not misunderstand me; I love those ‘messy’ scents, but not when they make no sense and just release a new perfume to release a new perfume. For me, it is entirely dispensable.

  • Nancydano

What an aroma! Sweet, super opulent and creamy, I absolutely love it. If you’re looking for longevity and projection, this is the one for you. I wear it all day without reapplying; after a shower in the evening, it’s still there. A proper beast!

  • ShiseidoTactics

Quite feminine and creamy, soft and sweet without being cloying. It smells more like a luxury designer fragrance than an experimental niche scent, which isn’t a bad thing. The only downside is that it didn’t seem unique to me; it reminded me of others, and I didn’t detect the whisky, though I did sense the sweetness of the hazelnuts and tonka bean. As it dries down, a subtle and sophisticated floral note emerges.

  • I own the Royal Vanilla by Mancera and at first I thought Amber Fever was identical, with about 90% similarity, but with use I noticed the nuances: Amber Fever is calmer, woodier, more masculine and relaxed, whereas Royal Vanilla is flashier and attention-seeking, like ‘I’ve arrived, take me’. In the end, I stuck with Amber Fever because Royal Vanilla scares me to use daily as it is so invasive; that one is for parties and events. Amber Fever is suitable for everything, it doesn’t overwhelm and smells rich, boozy and dry. I recommend it 100%.

  • I don’t know the Baccarat 540, but I tried Zara’s Red Temptation, which is its dupe, and I confirm that Amber Fever is a softer version. It is perfect for those who can’t handle the original. It is totally unisex, ideal for both men and women.

  • It is identical to Lattafa’s Oud for Glory, which I love, but paying $40 instead of $180 for this Mancera is a luxury that isn’t worth it; it smells like a typical Arabic perfume.

  • This was the one I liked most among the sample kids I ordered, even more than the acclaimed Cedrat Boisee. I detect it as unisex and it fits the line of other designer perfumes with caramel notes.

  • lutzzingam

Thank goodness I bought a small decant. The truth is, I didn’t like it at all. It smells like an older lady who has been locked in a room all day with perfume. The quality and longevity are very good, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Thank goodness I bought a small decant. The truth is, I didn’t like it at all: it smells like an older lady who has been locked away all day with her perfume. The quality and longevity are top-notch, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Azariel_Nox

I’m not sure what concentration it is, but it left my skin glowing; it must have a high essence content and very little alcohol, haha.

  • Benjamin Pozo

It’s a niche perfume that isn’t widely known but is incredibly rich, featuring sweet and alcoholic notes with good projection. It doesn’t take many risks, yet manages to stand out from the crowd thanks to its amber and whisky notes, which give it a more ‘gentlemanly’ air. To me, it smells more feminine, although it is unisex. Overall, I’d give it a 7.8/10.
