Descripción
Red Tobacco Intense by Mancera is a woody-spicy fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2023, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Pierre Montale. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds an intense top note of oud wood, cinnamon, incense, saffron, pear, and nutmeg. The heart reveals a seductive blend of tobacco, leather, patchouli, vetiver, and jasmine, while the base settles on vanilla, musk, sandalwood, guaiac wood, and ambergris.

If Red Tobacco was a bomb, this is Hiroshima, BRUTAL at least on my skin. After using Red Tobacco, I say it’s practically identical, although supposedly notes change, I do notice some change to be less harsh, but little more to add. I suppose they’ll reformulate the normal Red Tobacco soon. If you’re between these two, choose the INTENSE. If you already have the normal one, don’t change yet.
The Intense has a bad reputation compared to the previous version: less projection and a sharper tobacco, like cigarette ash (not pipe tobacco). However, if you let it settle, the surprise is good; it resembles the previous version, the notes are more distinct, it projects more, and the tobacco becomes sweet, tending towards pipe tobacco rather than cigarette.
The INTENSE has a bad reputation compared to the previous version: less projection and a sharper, cigar-like (not pipe) or ash-like tobacco. However, after letting it rest for a long time, the surprise is good. It resembles the previous version, the notes are more distinct, it projects more, the tobacco becomes sweeter and tends towards pipe tobacco rather than cigar.
If you like tobacco perfumes, it’s yours, but wait at least 15 minutes for it to settle, because otherwise it’s like throwing a wet ashtray on top of you. In the opening, the tobacco is too piercing, with hints of incense and cinnamon that make it heavy at the start. Prepare your heart: once that sting passes, comes an undeniable creaminess. The tobacco and cinnamon lower in intensity and a very creamy vanilla with a nutmeg touch appears, which with the floral accords becomes elegant. If I had to choose between Red Tobacco and Intense, I’d stick with the normal and the earlier screw-top versions.
If you like perfumes with a tobacco scent, this is the one for you, but wait at least 15 minutes for it to settle, because at first it’s like rolling a wet ashtray over yourself. The opening is very sharp with incense and cinnamon, heavy at the start. Prepare yourself for the heart: once that sting passes, an undeniable creaminess arrives. The tobacco and cinnamon fade in intensity and a very creamy vanilla appears, with a touch of nutmeg and floral accords that make it elegant. If I have to choose between Red Tobacco and Intense, I’d stick with the original and the early versions with the ribbon on the cap.
Difficult at first, but becomes very rich a few minutes later. I know it’s not for everyone, but I quite like it. EDIT: I went to a party and was showered with compliments; about 10 people told me I smelled very good and projected quite a bit.
At first it’s a challenge, but within minutes it becomes a delight. I know it’s not for everyone, but I absolutely love it. EDIT: I went to a party and received a shower of compliments; about 10 people told me I smelled incredible and that it projected massively.
The opening is super potent; I can’t even smell it well, it overwhelms me and gives me nausea… but after a few hours (approx 2h) it’s taaaan delicious. It smells like a refined man, poorly dressed, captivating, business-like, serious, and coquettish at the same time. 10/10 for a winter night.
If you like Red Tobacco, you’ll love this INTENSE version. It has much stronger tobacco, a burnt tobacco sensation that adds depth and warmth. Combined with the leather, it’s a magnificent and imposing work, an absolute delight and a compliment magnet. The performance is bestial, just like the original, but with more character. It’s an excellent option for tobacco lovers. I recommend it wholeheartedly, although I understand it might be overwhelming for some. Try it before buying to ensure it aligns with your taste.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This perfume blends cinnamon and spices perfectly to give the spotlight to the tobacco. The other notes serve to support a piercing, sweet danger, with a base of woods and leather. Unlike its predecessor, it’s less synthetic, higher quality, and less strident. A step towards the quality of a well-known scent. Scent: 10 (if you like tobacco, spices, and woods). Longevity: +8h. Projection: 8. Originality: 5. Blind buy: 3. Versatility: 5. In conclusion, for me, it’s excellent and superior. But for those who don’t like it, it won’t be an option. It doesn’t walk the middle ground.
Red Tobacco Intense is a BEAST. If you’re looking for discretion, keep looking. This is the ‘I don’t care what you think, I smell incredible’ mode activated. It’s the scent of a man with character: dense tobacco, powerful woods (Oud), and an addictive sweet hit of Vanilla and Cinnamon. The Leather is there as a background note to give it mature texture. It hits hard at first, but once it dries down, it becomes a warm, very masculine tobacco. Nuclear performance: it sticks to skin and clothes for days, almost impossible to wash off. Beastly projection; two sprays and everyone can smell you. Night and cold weather only. If you prefer soft scents, stay away. Try before you buy; it’s not for novices.
Hello, anyone who says this Intense is stronger than the EDP is lying. I own both and the EDP projects more and is more potent. This Intense, just like the Cedrat Boise Intense compared to its EDP, has better-blended notes and a higher-quality aroma. This is how Mancera Intense versions work: much more polished, not stronger or more projecting. Don’t be a liar and say the opposite; you can simply smell the better quality, although the performance of the EDPs is superior. If you liked the EDPs, you won’t go wrong with these. As for the scent, there’s little more to say than that it’s a sweet, fruity, and spiced tobacco. Always test first. Cheers.
Red Tobacco Intense is a beast. If you’re looking for discretion, keep looking; here is ‘I don’t care what you think, I smell incredible’ mode activated. Formula Man is the scent of a man with character and depth. Its backbone is dense, high-quality tobacco, powerful woods (oud and others) that give it weight, and a sweet hit of vanilla and cinnamon to make it addictive and seductive. The leather is there, yes, but as a supporting note that adds mature, robust texture to the tobacco without being the protagonist. It hits hard at first, but once it dries down it becomes a warm, very masculine tobacco. Nuclear performance: there is no competition here. It’s monumental; it sticks to your skin and clothes for days, almost impossible to wash off. The projection is a nightmare if you overdo it; with two sprays (maximum), everyone will smell you. It’s a magnet for compliments, but only if you don’t saturate the environment. When to use it? Only nights and cold weather. In summer it’s a weapon of mass destruction. Conclusion: it’s a dense, mature, and brutally potent perfume. Buy it if you want to leave a mark and make your presence felt. If you’re into soft scents, stay away! And please, test it first, as it’s not for beginners.

I sold my bottle with the magnetic cap just to grab a few quid, but comparing it to this INTENSE version, I’m sticking with this one. My nose picks up the Oud, Leather, and Wood notes more clearly, of course, accompanied by the masters: Tobacco, Cinnamon, and that almost honeyed sweetness without being cloying. Longevity is BRUTAL… I sprayed it on my forearm at 9pm last night and it’s 8am now and it still smells divine. Buy the 120ml without fear.
