Great Mancera. Aromatic, floral, and fresh opening. Some might think it smells like soap, but the opening lavender is top quality and dominates. The dry-down is rich, with leather, amber, and wood at the base. Very complete and versatile, a candidate to buy soon. Performs as the brand, never fails. Perfect for the Mediterranean between 15° and 25°, that suits it wonderfully. 9/10

  • It begins with the vibe of a semi-modern Versace Dreamer and dries down like Reflection Man. Spectacular.

  • Hey, this fragrance is like an olfactory ‘Frankenstein’: floral and leather notes at full volume. I was caught by that rarity. It lasts a long time, ideal for cold weather and autumn. Without a doubt, a woman could wear it. 9/10.

  • Wow, this is a ‘Frankenstein’ of fragrances: what I notice most are the flowers and the leather base. I have loved it for that peculiarity. It lasts a long time and is ideal for cold or autumnal weather. Without a doubt, a woman can wear it. 9/10.

  • The packaging of Black Gold is beautiful, but the scent is a strong blend of florals, spices, and a soft cinnamon. Leather is noticeable, but very timid to be the protagonist. At first, it sounds quite feminine, like perfumes for older women, but then it transforms! It becomes a unique scent. If you wear it lightly, nothing exaggerated, it gives it class. Some compare it to Spicebomb, but I disagree; it recalls something but stays as a blend of semi-sweet condiments with a certain freshness. It made me think of a much more attenuated and elegant Aoud Lemon Mint. I still don’t know its full longevity, but I expected something more potent and an olfactory bomb; it’s not, but it smells nice and has presence. Mancera continues to captivate me. For the price, I expected more explosiveness, but it has personality and makes me want to wear it to go out or simply to enjoy at home. So far, the best remains Cedrat Boisé. Alongside Aoud Lemon Mint, I’m also adding this one; it has charm. Recommended for all year round: if you like it, use it without fear, life is short and we don’t always have special occasions, so enjoy your fragrance and let conventional restrictions go to pot.

  • With just one day of use, it reminds me a lot of Aoud Blue Notes but with a more feminine touch. I picked it up on offer, but I’m not entirely thrilled; I don’t like buying perfumes that resemble others I already own. Usable in winter, autumn, and spring, the trail is significant and the girls have liked it; I’ve received compliments. I’m not sure whether to recommend it or the Aoud Blue Notes, but buy whichever has the best price because they smell the same. Regards.

  • #February6 A wonderful gift for your partner. We fell in love with a decant I gave my husband, so on his 38th birthday, 11th July 2020 (right in the middle of the pandemic), I gifted him the bottle. Thanks to luck, we got the previous edition and the quality is top-notch. The trail is wide and lasts over 16 hours. Since he applies it, you can detect woods like cedar and oud, with spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg over a base of lavender, violet, and vetiver. It remains 100% masculine and has no equal. It’s delicious, sexy, and seductive. Note: as we read on Fragrantica, don’t buy it blind, because several people haven’t liked it as much as we have.

  • I gifted this to my husband after testing a decant; we loved it so much that on his birthday, right in the middle of the pandemic, I bought him the bottle. The quality is top-notch, with a wide trail and lasting over 16 hours. Upon application, it features woody notes of cedar and oud spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg over lavender, violet and vetiver, remaining 100% masculine. It is unique, delicious, sexy and manly. However, as we read on Fragrantica, do not buy it blindly as it hasn’t been liked by others as much as it has been by us.

  • I’ve had this for years, bought it blind and it didn’t suit me at first. But giving it a second chance and wearing it for several days in a row surprised me: I like it more and more each time. It’s super versatile. The opening lasts about five minutes and smells a bit like Prada Amber Pour Homme, but then the real show begins in the dry-down. A great perfume.

Absolute mastery and elegance through and through. It’s floral yet has a masculine soul, and it truly shines in the dry-down. Bestial performance and flawless composition. You can clearly smell the Oriental perfumery’s signature.

A gem from Mancera: fresh, spiced, unisex and charming. Lots of lavender with spices, citrus, woods and supposedly oud that is not noticeable, plus musk and amber, all wrapped in a floral facet that flutters. It has elegance but is not for formal suits; it is totally unisex. The trail is colossal, disarming those around you with that fresh and clean burst that hits your nose 🤯

  • Calschpenalista

One of Mancera’s jewels. It is a fresh spicy, unisex, charming and versatile scent. Lots of lavender accompanied by spices, citrus, woods, and supposedly oud, which is not felt anywhere, more musk and amber, all with a floral facet that flutters. It has a certain elegance but can be worn outside formal codes; it is totally unisex. The sillage is enormous; it disarms those around you, hitting the nose with that fresh and clean burst.

  • Lavender, clean, fresh, floral, light, woody, leather. Elegant. It follows the same path as Rasasi Shuhrah.

It smells like a clean man, with money, and modern. It blends niche DNA with the essence of typical men’s perfumes and turns it into pure masculinity. A delicacy for all year round.

It smells very good, truthfully. It is not my style at all, but it feels pleasant. It opens potent with citrus, many flowers, spices… In fact, the first time I saw it leaning more towards the feminine side. Now I wear it gladly, though not so much that I would buy a bottle. What I like most is the dry-down: the flowers relax, it darkens a little, with leather and woods. It is versatile for almost all year round except in heavy heat, and it performs very well. Beyond 6–7 hours with a very good sillage.

  • I love it; it is versatile and elegant. However, regarding projection and longevity, it leaves much to be desired. In my case, it projects well for one hour, then stops projecting and stays close to the skin until it disappears around 3 hours.

  • This fragrance has nuances. At first, in the first 5–10 minutes, it smells like a women’s hair product; I thought it was horrible. But once it settles, the pleasant notes emerge: rose, leather, musk, patchouli, and woods. It transforms into something phenomenal. The nutmeg accompanies it for a while, giving it a peculiar and interesting touch. Projection: moderate. Longevity: 7–8 hours projecting for the first 2 hours (in cold environments). Although it has marine notes, I don’t see it as a daytime scent, though it could be used; however, the performance would not be fully appreciated.

Short review. I bought it blind without knowing what to expect; I saw both good and bad reviews, but this one silenced my doubts. The first few seconds upon spraying smell of lavender, very dominant, but over time it settles and floral notes emerge alongside the oud and a very light leather. Scent: 9/10, Sillage: 8.5/10, Projection: 8.5/10, Longevity: 8 to 9 hours.

  • Beautiful fragrance, bought blind. Upon spraying, the declared notes are noticeable: nutmeg, cinnamon, citrus, and a very dominant lavender. I don’t recognise the oud, but the opening is rich. The magic lies in the dry-down: it transforms into an elegant medicinal violet/violet/oud blend. The violet has that faint petrol note reminiscent of Dior Fahrenheit, but much more restrained. It feels semi-powdery, chivalrous, with clean woods and a subtle creamy leather. There is a fresh air to it due to those marine notes. Performance (dry skin): longevity +8 hours, moderate projection for 2 hours with a similar sillage. Then it becomes personal, with bursts when moving until the fifth hour, light but noticeable. June 2022 batch: I was surprised that the atomiser is not pressurised like Mancera’s usual ones; it is short but potent. Edit: I let it macerate and it gained much more potency.

  • To start, I must confess that I fell in love with the lavender note thanks to this perfume. I have tried dozens of Mancera scents, from aquatic to floral, and this one takes the number one spot. I don’t understand why hardly anyone talks about it, but its performance and projection are extraordinary. You can clearly hear the transition between phases. For the price, it is a bargain. Longevity: around 8–10 hours, with extremely high projection for the first 2–3 hours and still good afterwards. It is in my top 5 so far.

Hello, if you already own this fragrance along with Aqua Wood from the same house, I swear you must try layering them; the result is another world entirely. Let me know how it goes for you. The golden rule: always test before you buy.
