Coco Vanille by Mancera

Mancera Coco Vanille EDP: getting ready for summer. It’s coconut, vanilla, and tiaré in industrial quantities. At first, the coconut grabs attention, but on my skin, the vanilla dominates. The blend is delicious, sweet, and creamy, with little evolution. It smells like sun tan lotion but with far more sugar. It’s my perfect option for summer evenings (though it can be cloying in extreme heat). The performance surprises me: it lasts over 10 hours with constant projection, always there with every movement. The trail is fantastic, for personal enjoyment and for others to notice. The presentation is smart: 60 or 120 ml, no half-measures. The magnetic cap and silver pouch protect the clear bottle. I use it to see how much is left, because when it’s gone, I’ll replace it. Who wouldn’t want to relive a summer love?

I only smell coconut and white florals; I expected more vanilla than coconut. Honestly, it smells like old-fashioned coconut perfume; it’s not a good blend, so I’ll probably end up selling it. I think I’d rather use Victoria’s Secret Coconut Passion body splash.

It’s very nice; it has an air of Olympia Solar, super summery, for hot days. I see it as versatile, with a very marked floral part. Delicate, simple accords, but it delivers.

A perfume without complications or stories: coconut, vanilla, and tiaré flower. No evolution, no poetry, no refinements. Mancera is that house for smelling good for many hours without spending much, with proposals for almost everyone. That’s all I can say. If you want a feminine, beachy, and tropical fragrance, not excessively sweet or synthetic, it might suit you. But if I had to choose one in that profile, I’d opt for Borabora by Giardini di Toscana.

Elegant, subtle… This perfume is as delicate as they come, and for me, one of the nicest vanillas I’ve tried. I find it soft, suitable for special occasions. I was looking for a perfume where the vanilla would dominate, and I think I got it right. Although the opening is dominated by coconut, the dry down and what remains is pure vanilla. It’s a comforting scent.

I had sky-high expectations for the coconut, vanilla and tiare, but it disappointed me. It’s not a bad perfume, but it smells common, like many body mists. It’s ultra-sweet and, being a gourmand fan, it overwhelms me. I used it in summer and it tires me out; I’d use it more on cold days and perhaps change my mind. It seems very similar (with better quality and performance) to Vainille Monoi by Les Petits Plaisirs, which is much cheaper. I’ll stick with other coconut and vanilla perfumes, although these stand out for longevity and quality.

I like it, but it wasn’t what I expected. On my skin, it’s not that sweet, creamy coconut bathed in vanilla I was looking for; nothing gourmand. However, I was pleasantly surprised: on my skin, it’s white and yellow flowers bathed in the sun, happy and bright. When sprayed, yes, that coconut cream note with sweet peaches comes out, but quickly it fades and the ylang-ylang takes centre stage. They are magnificent, fragrant and shine without being aggressive; they carry their presence with restraint, letting the coconut or vanilla take turns to shine. They are the queens of the party. It’s not formal, elegant or complex, but it is radiant, happy, luminous and simply lovely. I understand the beach vibe and also why some girls might not like it if they’re looking for something mega-sweet; this is more floral. Ideal for summer and hot days, without overusing the sprays as it can be too much. Lasts 8-9 hours with strong to moderate projection.

I liked it, but it doesn’t kill me. It’s not worth buying the full bottle unless it’s your fragrance of a lifetime. It’s the typical coconut with vanilla (both very gourmand and sharp), cloying. The only thing that differentiates it is its oily consistency and its exquisite floral base (creamy white flowers). It smells quality, but it doesn’t stop being common. Anyway, a 10ml decant is more than enough.

@Perfulover248: if you have an inspiration, don’t write a review on the original. No matter how close it is, it has nothing to do with it. Wait for the inspiration to appear on Fragrantica before reviewing it.

Incredible perfume. I bought it blindly based on the notes and thought it would suit my personality, and I wasn’t wrong. It’s 1000 times better than I imagined: sweet but not cloying, very fruity and feminine. It goes with any occasion, leaving a charming and even sexy scent. It doesn’t resemble the Victoria’s Secret body mist at all, which smells vulgar and synthetic; this has class and nothing synthetic. If you like fruity and sweet perfumes but not cloying ones in summer, this is yours. It’s totally worth it. The first thing I notice is the peach mixed with coconut and finally that touch of vanilla, not synthetic or of poor quality, but like a vanilla dessert. Definitely my star fragrance.

Re-editing: This will stay in my Mancera top forever. It was my second Mancera fragrance after Roses Vanille and surpasses everything else I own in scent and performance; it’s a gem. It can cause olfactory fatigue as it’s sweeter than caramel. If it doesn’t last more than three hours don’t consider it sweet or think it’s like the Coconut Passion by VS (which I also own) as I’m speaking from experience. It has a serious nose issue: it depends on taste or skin pH but ignore those comments. It’s a coconut and vanilla bomb almost equally at the start. Once dried (which takes time) it’s one of the best white floral-vanilla scents I’ve tried. If you add to that the fact it performs as well as the VS splash you haven’t tried it enough. It has only brought me joy and remains in my top. Moderate price if you hunt for deals but the performance is brutal. I have it with a screw cap thank goodness. With Velvet Vanille you can tell it doesn’t last or project and having this I’m grateful.

Hello. I’m new to colognes; a knowledgeable friend recommended this so I bought the clone of the Divain dupe as she had the original and the replica. On my skin I smell more coconut than vanilla with the flowers very in the background.

Just because this combination is worn to death doesn’t mean it’s effective for summer. I like the type of scent but in this case it hasn’t won me over. Montale’s Coco Vanille comes out as a creamy coconut with vanilla rich and with fruity nuances but then softens a lot almost overshadowed by the vanilla during the dry-down leaving it very linear. Although it has good projection and longevity I don’t find as many nuances as others in the style; for example I don’t perceive the floral facet. I know cheaper options with the same structure (similar to the Coconut Passion by VS after the initial alcohol hits which also lacks the pleasant fruity opening of the Mancera). Personally I prefer Montale’s Intense Tiaré signed by the same perfumer and at a similar price but prettier and more complex. Among budget options I love Nuxe Le Prodigieux: less creamy more floral and intense with good projection and 8-9 hours of longevity. I wouldn’t include it in my collection and would opt for a more original Mancera. Scent 6.5/10 Longevity 8.5/10 Trail 7/10 Value for money 5/10 Versatility 4/10 Packaging 7/10. Would I buy again? I didn’t.

It was my first blind buy; I’m starting in the world of fragrances and can only judge by first impression as it arrived today. The truth is it’s not what I imagined or read in reviews; it must be my nose… I didn’t like it much at first. I need to give it time but I didn’t like it much 😅; I feel almost pure vanilla a strong vanilla that eats up the coconut which is half-hidden. I don’t smell the flower much either. I thought it would be a perfume I’d love but perhaps I’ll find the charm later… we’ll see. But I don’t think I’ll buy blind again especially a fragrance of this size that we know isn’t cheap. We’ll see what happens with time 😅🤷🏻♀️ EDIT: I can’t handle the perfume. It’s not that it’s bad simply it’s not for me… I need to swap it or sell it.

It has become my favourite Mancera fragrance dethroning my beloved Velvet Vanille. Vanilla and coconut are my notes of choice and Tiare is one of my favourite flowers so this perfume seems made for me. The opening is very fruity; the coconut appears with the peach giving it a creamy touch and as it dries the Tiare flower and jasmine emerge. The vanilla is so prominent and sweet that it covers the floral part which ends up very in the background. Coco Vanille is a refined and sweet fragrance that brings me happiness and calm. A LITTLE BOTTLED GEM WITH A MAGIC EVOLUTION. I put this on and think of summer of an afternoon outing after spending the whole day at the beach as it’s a very sunny perfume. I see it as feminine unisex. Acceptable longevity and low trail. My signature scent in the hot months I can’t stop wearing it ❣️
