The first impression is a pairing of saffron and amber, two notes that immediately give a warm and slightly metallic character. Saffron brings that distinctive spice, while amber softens the blend with a gentle, resinous glow.
The heart reveals a rose that acts as the floral balance. It is not a bright or powdery rose, but a deeper, duskier one that sits comfortably within the spiced opening. This stops the fragrance from becoming too abrasive.
At the base, oud wood takes charge, offering smoky, leathery, and subtly animalic textures. It never feels overpowering, thanks to tobacco and floral nuances that round out the drydown into something persistent and soothing.
