  1. It’s a perfume that delivers, though slightly synthetic; it’s good for going out at night on special occasions. What stands out most is the patchouli and cinnamon.

To me, it smells different, nothing common. The quality embraces you and lasts, and for this price, it’s a bargain.

  3. I was disappointed because the scent is weak, almost imperceptible, evaporates quickly, and lacks the potency and longevity of other Animale fragrances. Poor choice.

  4. Adding to Prieth’s comment, it lacks a tobacco note, like Jacomo. At its core, it reminds me of La Roue de la Fortune by D&G and Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson, certainly due to the strong patchouli.

First, Fragrantica missed listing some top notes that are noticeable: here there is mandarin and lemon. Then ginger and soft florals. I didn’t detect the cinnamon, but I did sense the rich cedar, a nice variation. The dry down is a soft musky patchouli. The opening and heart remind me of Horsball Classic: mandarin, lemon, ginger, and florals (heliotrope and iris in the other, lavender and jasmine here). It has classic elements but feels youthful, suitable for varied climates; the citrus adds freshness and the spices make it appropriate for a winter that isn’t too cold. It lacks the trail and longevity of other Animale fragrances: it lasted about seven hours with a moderate trail. The price is good if you can grab it. Despite the name, it’s not a ‘black’ fragrance for evening wear; it lacks complexity and depth.
