  I’ve only tried it briefly, but it smells similar to F. Malle’s Musc Ravageur; at first, it’s a bit greener than that fragrance’s amber tone. The performance isn’t spectacular for a niche of this quality, but it does the job, let’s say, moderately. If it becomes woody, it will be towards the end, with a sweet touch. What interests me most is the twist it gives, at least on my skin, with a well-developed evolution.

  This is my third Hiram Green discovery, following Moon Bloom and Slowdive, and the quality of natural ingredients is evident in every nuance. The brand champions a minimalism that doesn’t detract from beauty. Arbolé is a sweet patchouli with green, soapy, and powdery facets, where the tonka bean (coumarin) shines with its spicy, peppery touch, plus a hint of beeswax that recalls Slowdive. That coumarin sets it apart from other patchoulis like Coromandel, although I don’t detect the cedar or sandalwood. It’s unisex, elegant, and super versatile, with good projection and over 10 hours of longevity. Inspired by Lorca’s poem, though I don’t see the parallelism; I expected something more aromatic, green, and with a touch of rose, but I do detect that Mediterranean salty halo they mention. Despite liking it very much and nailing the patchouli and tonka, I’m not putting it among my favourites just yet, so I won’t be buying the full bottle, but it’s an excellent quality option if you’re looking for something like this. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Projection 8/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No, not this time.
