I am here to sign off on the fragrance with the 1st review… I love it ❤️. Although originally it is feminine, for me it is my fragrance… (If you reapply in the same spot, your sense of smell can get a bit saturated). You will never go unnoticed: it is elegant, intense, by no means casual, very bold and floral with a soft sweetness. It usually smells better in fresh climates. As for age, it reflects maturity and modernity at the same time. It is not the typical fragrance that half the world might smell; Armani Code Absolu denotes confidence, it is imposing. You will have to be very sure of who you are and what you want, as it is very personal, one of those fragrances you can easily love or hate depending on your personality, and that makes it not suitable for everyone.
I was waiting for this perfume to arrive in Buenos Aires. When I finally found out it had arrived, I ran like crazy to the perfumery because I, the nard addict, needed to try it. It was a total disappointment. The opening is strong, intense ginger. But soon the orange blossom of the neroli appears, intense and piercing, and stays there for a long time. Around half an hour later, the nardos appear, but combined with tonka bean and vanilla, which transform into a different fragrance, too sweet for my nose. Unfortunately, the fragrance never quite pleased me, neither at the start, nor in the middle notes, nor the base. A total disappointment.
I was waiting for it to arrive in Buenos Aires. Once I knew it had landed, I ran like mad to the perfumery because, the crazy narcissus lover, I needed to try it. It was a total letdown. The opening is strong, with intense ginger, but very soon the orange blossom from the narcissus emerges, intense and piercing, and stays that way for a long time. Half an hour in, the narcissus appears, but combined with tonka bean and vanilla, they become too sweet for my nose. Unfortunately, the fragrance never appealed to me: not in the opening, not in the middle, not in the base. A total disappointment.
A few months ago I was looking for Alien Essence Absolu and was surprised to learn it had been discontinued. Another out-of-production gem, I couldn’t believe it. Today, during my usual walk through a perfumery, I dared to try it alongside its original sister, one on each arm. First of all, this has completely outshone the original Code at EVERY MOMENT, brutally. 1-0. (I will have more time later to test the original alone). I don’t like writing a review after testing it only once, but it seems to have a sweet freshness at the start, with my favourite flower (orange blossom), the citrus orange, mixed with honey (which curiously does not appear in the notes). I loved it. On my way home, I noticed how it clung to my skin, strong but not suffocating. In enclosed spaces like a car, I could easily detect its presence. While it dried down, I couldn’t believe it: the base of Code Absolue reminded me very much of the golden Alien (is it a coincidence that they share the same surname?). For those in love with Alien Essence Absolu: forget it 😉
I tried it when it arrived in Argentina less than a month ago. It does not retain the elegance of the Codes; it is super sweet, with lots of vanilla and nard, but not very long-lasting. On my skin, it broke down the flowers. I will try it again because I had high expectations and perhaps the weather did not favour the perfume. There are certain molecules that do not work on humid days on my skin and smell like rotting grass.
What a wonderful scent! It’s a deeper, richer, and more intense version of the original Code, which I also adore, and it bears a slight resemblance to Code Cashmere, yet with its own distinct personality. The scent is beautifully rounded. The trail and longevity are excellent: over 8 hours on the skin and it lingers on clothes for days. It is a well-balanced, woody, and sweet fragrance. It opens with a well-crafted ginger note that gives it a sparkling touch, alongside neroli and a delicious tangerine. The heart is exquisite: jasmine, orange blossom, and very chic nardos. The dry down with tonka, vanilla, woods, and sandalwood gives a cosy, enveloping touch. After a few hours, a slight caramel note emerges, how beautiful! I can definitely smell everything in this such harmonious combination. It is perfect for the chill of autumn or winter, day or night, for special occasions; it is not a fragrance for daily wear. It is for confident women. The box is matte gold and simple. The bottle maintains the design of the other Codes, but with matte gold at the top and bottom, and clear glass in the centre. It is a floral oriental for ladies, launched in 2019. It is dense, deep, and has a romantic touch. It smells classic, but not vintage. I love this creamy floral from the first spray to the very end; it is beautiful, very seductive, and enchanting.
I wore it today after a shower. I used the Natura almond milk body wash and it was a perfect combo. It is incredible how much I am projecting it! I love it. It is much sweeter than it is without the wash. From today, I am going to use it always this way.

Just arrived in my hands, a blind buy. At first, I found no resemblance to Dior Addict; I think the most predominant note is ginger, an almondy scent that reminds me of some baby cologne. Later, a warm note appears in the base, perhaps vanilla, tonka, or something similar, but it’s very faint. It’s worth noting that it’s 3 degrees in my city, so perhaps the climate dampens it a bit. I also don’t think it’s the sillage monster some reviews painted it to be, but that will be a study for these days as I’ve only just tried it. Edit: I ended up gifting it to my sister; I couldn’t handle it. It wasn’t the ginger that overwhelmed me, but the orange blossom, which is super potent in this perfume. Orange blossom-ginger-something of vanilla, that’s it. Performance is very good, but I think because it’s so potent, it saturated my senses and I stopped smelling it, but when my sister wore it, it lasted all day.
Arrived in my hands as a blind buy. At first, I didn’t notice anything resembling Dior Addict; what I sensed most was a pickled ginger that reminded me of baby cologne, with a very faint warm base of vanilla or tonka. With these three degrees we’re experiencing, perhaps the climate will mute it. I don’t think it’s the projection monster they claim, but I’ll give it another try. Edit: I gave it to my sister; I couldn’t stand it. It wasn’t the ginger that overwhelmed me, but the orange blossom, which was super potent. It’s orange blossom-ginger with a hint of vanilla. The performance is good, but it fatigued my senses until I could no longer smell it; on my sister, it lasted all day.
The ginger note gives it a spicy kick at the beginning, making it very interesting and adding freshness. Within minutes, the narcissus and orange blossom begin to emerge, wrapped in the warmth of the base notes. The trail is moderate to high, and the longevity on me is over 8 hours. If I apply several sprays at night for an outing, I can still detect it the next morning when I wake up. In its dry down, I sense a kinship with Dior Addict Eau de Parfum, but less vanilla-heavy. I see it more for winter, very cold autumn days, and especially for night outings.
I loved this scent: it is somewhat creamy flowers, with a fresh and slightly spicy opening. It lasts me a long time and it resembles the Armani Code which has already been reformulated and does not last as long. So this one I loved. It has just the right amount of sweetness. I use it on fresh days and on autumn and winter nights.

So, I absolutely loved this one. It has just the right amount of sweetness. I wear it on fresh days and during autumn-winter nights.
A powerful, overwhelming fragrance; I don’t know why I get a leather scent from it. Vanilla-based, the ginger adds a very special touch. It lasts all day on my skin, and forget about clothes. It feels creamy but I insist, it’s potent. I consider it ideal for winter and even for nightwear. It’s for someone with character, great style, and a refined sense of dress.
It’s addictive; I’d wear it at night or in smaller spaces where you want people to notice you. 😏 I tried this flanker before the original blue one; they seem similar, but the original highlights honey and narcissus more, whereas this one features tonka bean and vanilla. The ginger opening makes it not your typical sweet night vanilla perfume, but something more exotic and characterful. Every time I wear it, I can’t stop thinking about how well-balanced the notes are. ❤️❤️❤️
It is addictive, for me it is nocturnal or for smaller environments but where you want people to smell you and it should be this emoji: 😏. I tried this flanker before the original blue and I would say they are similar, but in the other the honey and nardos stand out more, and in this one the tonka bean and vanilla. The ginger in the opening makes it not your typical vanilla night perfume, but something more exotic and with character. Every time I use it I cannot stop thinking about how well-balanced the notes are. ❤️❤️❤️
I didn’t like it; I’ll stick with the Code plain and simple. On my skin, it leaves a dry sandalwood, like stepping into a dark, closed-down Indian shop, although it also feels creamy. It reminded me of the Woman and the Intense by Ralph Lauren, which I didn’t like for the same reasons, so neither did this one. They smell incredibly similar on my skin. I don’t sense the orange blossom, nor the honey, nor the little spicy kick of ginger that I love so much in the Code. It just didn’t work on my skin.
I didn’t like it; I’ll stick with the original Code. On my skin, it leaves a sandalwood scent that feels dry, like entering a dark, dry Indian shop that has been closed for a long time… it also feels creamy. It reminded me of Ralph Lauren Woman and the Intense from the same line, which I didn’t like for the same reasons, so I didn’t like this one either. It leaves a very similar trail on my skin. I don’t detect the orange blossom, honey, or the spicy ginger kick that I love in the Code. It just didn’t work on my skin.
This perfume didn’t grab my attention initially. Over time, I’ve learned to enjoy it, but I don’t think it stands out excessively in my collection nor does it feel particularly novel. It opens with a sparkling citrus scent with a slight kick from the ginger. Then it transitions into a lovely combination of jasmine and orange blossom (the latter being the most prominent note), with a perceptible touch of neroli and narcissus. It’s versatile with a touch of elegance, though like many perfumes. The vanilla in the dry down that wraps around the floral notes is subtle and not overly sweet; in fact, I miss a bit more sweetness in the composition. It has a moderate-to-soft trail and lasts 8-9 hours on my skin. To my nose, it feels much more floral and fresh than Dior Addict, as the vanilla in Addict is much denser. It is also far more floral than traditional Armani Code, which I prefer and which projects better. It bears no resemblance to Alien Essence Absolue. For me, it’s a daily wear perfume suitable even for the office, as it isn’t a projection bomb on my skin. It suits multiple occasions and seasons, though I particularly like it in autumn and spring. I really wanted to like it, but it didn’t move me; I don’t think I’ll repurchase. Scent 6/10 Longevity 7/10 Sillage 6.5/10 Value 5/10 Versatility 8/10 Packaging 8.5/10 Would I buy again? No.
This perfume did not catch my attention too much on the first try. Over time I have learned to enjoy it, but I also do not think it stands out too much within my collection nor does it seem absolutely novel. It has a sparkling citrus opening and a slightly spicy touch due to the ginger. Then it becomes a nice combo of jasmine and orange blossom (with the latter being the most predominant note) with a perceptible touch of nardos and neroli. It is versatile, with a touch of elegance, but like many perfumes. The vanilla in the dry down that cradles the floral part is subtle and not cloying; in fact, I miss a bit more sweetness in the composition. It has a moderate-soft trail and a longevity on my skin of 8-9 hours. To my nose, it seems much more floral and fresh than Dior Addict, I do not recall it too much because the vanilla in the Addict is much denser. It is also much more floral than the traditional Armani Code, which I like more and projects better. It does not remind me of Alien Essence Absolue at all. For me, it is a daily wear fragrance that we can even use in office environments, as at least on my skin it is not a projection bomb. It is suitable for multiple occasions and seasons, although above all I like it in autumn and spring. I really wanted it but it didn’t move me, I don’t think I will repurchase with it. Scent 6/10, Longevity 7/10, Trail 6.5/10, Value for money 5/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy again? No.
Armani Code is my favourite perfume of all time, and while searching for an alternative, I came across this younger sibling. Although it resembles the original quite a bit, it doesn’t feel as spectacular to me. It opens with a sharp, citrusy burst that dries down into something feminine and elegant, leaning heavily towards sandalwood and tonka bean rather than anything else. I find it versatile, less flashy and opulent than Armani Code, making it ideal for crisp days or cool nights. It performs very well with a respectable trail and lasts more than 8 hours on the skin and for days on clothes. It’s a lovely, warm fragrance without being spectacular; perfect for a feminine, sober woman with style.
My mother owns this discontinued gem; it smells excellent, perfect for autumn (10/10), and lasts a long time.
